Works Without The Weight
If you’re use to cooking with heavy Dutch Ovens this roaster is for you. I have to replace my heavy cookwear due to a chronic shoulder injury. This roaster is the perfect size for smaller families, or singles. Reasonably priced, light weight, even cooking, easy clean up. No cons for this item.

Classic, but very small. And no rack. If I were doing it over, I’d get a larger one with a rack, but this was what my husband wanted. It was just barely big enough for a 6-lb. chicken, with the drumsticks pressed up against the sides. Fortunately the sides are high enough so all the juices didn’t flow over them, and we had a baking sheet under it just in case. We think a 4-lb. chicken will be a better fit.

The size of the pan is very useful for many dishes. It is made well and cleans up like a dream. I recommend highly.

Happy with this little roaster but didnât care for all the adhesive
I wanted to give this little roaster five stars but I just couldnât. There is an excessive amount of adhesive that has to be dealt with â strapping tape holding the top and bottom together and then there is the actual label. Both of them left a lot of residue behind, even after literally scraping the label off with my thumb.
Soaking the roaster in hot water didnât do the trick so then I had to turn to GooGone to get rid of all the adhesive. There must be a better way to package these items.
But, as for the roaster itself, it is what I expected it to be and works fine for baking small sourdough loaves (my 1,000 gram loaf of cranberry orange walnut sourdough turned out great in this roaster but it certainly couldn’t handle a larger loaf than that)..
A word of caution though to potential buyers â This roster is very small. If you are planning to roast a chicken in it, itâs gonna need to be a Cornish hen or a very small fryer, certainly not a roasting hen!

If pulling a heavy cast iron casserole dish out of a 475 degree oven gives you nerves, this seems to work fine and is very lightweight and inexpensive.

Always bent with delaminating paint, and tough stickers and tape to remove
I have ordered and returned this item 2-3 times. It is always bent in a corner and sometimes on the sides as well. The “granite” coating is delaminating and chips everywhere. I am not sure this paint would be good all chipped out in the food.
Also the item has “stickers” all over the side and stringy tape holding the top on. They do not come off without a lot of work. It does need to come off before it would be safe to put into a hot/cooking environment.
My guess is the seller bought some kind of damaged or returned lot and is just unloading them.
I definitely do not reccomend.
