Beautiful tableware!
These dishes are even more beautiful than the pictures! They are absolutely perfect in my rustic Tuscan dining room and when I set my table it looked like a magazine shoot. Gorgeous! They came very well packaged with no damage at all. I have only used them twice but I will review again if there are any performance issues. Although they are dishwasher safe I washed them by hand. This is quite a substantial set of dishware. Keep your eye on the price – they are go on sale from time to time. Do not hesitate to buy this set.

Well received my dishes, unfortunately a few were broken. Called Amazon and they made it right. These dishes are not just beautiful but heavy and sturdy. Love them!

Wow! This is a beautiful set of dishes.
Look, I really like nice stuff that has value. This stoneware is a bargain and (to me) has a nice masculine look. These plates are very heavy and do not chip easily. They have interesting textures along with an irridescent metallic finish around the rims and on the cups with just a touch of a rose-gold/copper tone to it and looks great with rose-gold utensils as I did. Even if I’m just eating pizza off them, I like a nice looking table. It’s not too often you find a bargain and quality. Mikasa brings it.

Oh my gosh. I had my husband purchase these for my Christmas 2023, they are so beautiful and I get so many compliments on them. They are a great quality and should last me for many years to come.

I ordered a 16 piece set. I loved them but 2 dinner plates were broken. Contacted company they said send pics. And within 10 days they sent 2 new plates. Love the dishes.

Beautiful for a rustic setting
First of all, I bought 3 sets of these dishes from Amazon Warehouse. I was skeptical after reading about so many broken dishes, but I took my chances, and not a single break in 3 boxes! And I saved a bunch of money. Overall, these dishes are very attractive. The rim has a bronze or antique copper metallic shine, and the colors are rich. That being said, there is a good bit of variation among the plates. I tried to show two extremes in my picture. Some dishes have more “swirl” or concentric rings, and some are more uniform in design. Some are more brown and others lean toward grey. Mikasa explains on their website that it is a “reactive” glaze and variation is to be expected. I did think that the dishes within each box were more similar than they were between boxes, so maybe Mikasa tries to keep the dishes in each boxed set as similar as possible. But since I bought 3, I have more variation. I wasn’t sure I liked it at first, but now it doesn’t bother me. I used the dishes for Thanksgiving and got lots of compliments! : ) Yes, the bowls look shallow, but they hold plenty, and you should also know that the size of the plates is larger than stated in the listing. I have a narrow antique cabinet for my dishes, and the 10 1/2 diameter would have been great, but the big plates are more like 11 1/4, so my cabinet will not close. Different sites list different diameters for these plates, but none said they were that big. Overall, I think the dishes look great in my rustic kitchen. If you are looking for something more formal or uniform, you may not be happy.

I have had this set for 6 years. I accidentally broke to plates. Just replaced recently. This is my good China set. I absolutely love it!! Very durable and elegant. Delivery took longer than expected. It arrived in great shape. I would recommend this set for sure.
