Stopped working after two months.
Really liked how it looked and felt. Warmed water quickly and the settings were easy. But after a couple of months it stopped working. First noticed it acting up when it was on standby mode with the â- – -â on display but would heat the water when the kettle was placed on. And then after that, it doesnât display anything. Wonât turn on at all. Tried different outlets but no luck. Seems like something short circuited and itâs fried now. Disappointed.

Annoying temp controls but otherwise great
I bought this after a roommate got married and took his kettle with him and I had become too used to using a temperature controlled kettle for coffee. Turns out I like brewing coffee at 95 degrees C and the heat of the water you use when brewing coffee makes a pretty big difference in my opinion. If youâve never used an electric kettle, theyâre way faster than an old fashioned one and if youâve only used the cheap electric ones thatThe big downside to this kettle over the other electric kettle Iâve used is that the control dial for setting the temperature on this one are fiddly and annoying to operate, which is the reason I docked it one star. My other annoyance is that it shows temperatures in Fahrenheit. I like using Fahrenheit for the weather, but Celsius makes much more sense for a product that boils water. Did you know that water boils at 212 degrees Fahrenheit? Neither did I before buying this, but I did know that it boils at 100 degrees Celsius.Other than those caveats, this is a much nicer kettle than the other one. The gooseneck on this one makes pouring the water much nicer, especially if you want to make a pour over. This kettle is even faster to heat up the water than the previous electric one, and it holds its temperature instead of automatically shutting off as soon as it reaches temperature. Thatâs really nice because now I can start the water, grind my beans, set up my aeropress and when I have finished, I know my water will still be heated up and at the perfect temperature. The kettle feels well built, looks nice and for the price Iâm very happy with it overall.

Spray out
The tea pot is cute and small but whenever I have the water set for black tea it will spray out hot water from the vent of the lid. It doesnât happen with green tea (Iâm guessing because itâs a lower temp and not boiling as high) but this is dangerous when it starts spraying hot boiling water out. I have this for under 2 months

I love seeing the temperature as the kettle heats up. Water boils super fast and the settings on the base are great. You definitely donât want boiling water for some types of teas and coffees and this lets you set those limits. Love this thing!

Worthless dangerous geyser of boiling, scalding water!
I really wanted this product to work. I’m not sure if I got a defective unit or what is going on. But even with the âsteam ventâ aligned over the spout, and regardless of what temperature you set the unit to, the water boils and then sprays and pisses scalding hot water out of the spout everywhere.I’ve tried it with the lid off, set to only 170°, and with the lid off it doesn’t spray boiling water out of the spout, but even when the unit is only half full, and set to 170°, the water still violently boils and splashes out of the top.It’s as if the unit doesn’t pay any attention to the temperature setting and just boils the water regardless of the setting. And even if the lid is only partially on it steams and spews with anything over half full. The temperature setting is irrelevant. And the lid is nothing but a safety hazard that guarantees scalding hot boiling water is going to come out of the spout spraying everything in its path. This thing not only doesn’t work the way it is supposed to… it is dangerous.
