Excellent little spatula
I ordered this spatula after reading about it on NYT’s Wirecutter. I have a couple silicon/plastic spatulas that I use on my non-stick cookwear but they did not age well and were tough to clean (think eggs crusting on the tip and needing to soak and use brute strength to remove cement like yolk). The old spatulas also had ridges where the parts were assembled that got gunned up and were almost impossible to get clean.Flash forward to this new GIR product and there is a world of difference – it’s one piece, completely non-stick (even egg yolk) and looks like new after daily use since purchased. It’s also colorful and attractive. I liked it so much I bought a complete set of GIR cooking utensils and am very pleased with those as well. The only drawback to this particular spatula was that it was smaller than I expected – it can flip eggs and small things but not good for regular size pancakes etc. But for a smaller pan (10inches or less) it fits well when a bigger spatula was unwieldy so highly recommend for those using smaller skillets on a daily basis.

I like that this silicon flipper is safer than the black plastic spatula it replaced. It is also a fun color and is dishwasher safe. It is flexible and great for scraping bowls. I just wish it were a bet larger.

I bought this after reading a bunch of reviews about kitchen utensils. I use it for everything! There’s something perfectly versatile about the dimensions and material.

I don’t know if it will become less slippery with use but it goes under burgers really easily. Best not use it for serving the burger because there is a good chance it will slip off the spatula.Well designed, my only quibble is that the handle is shorter than I would have liked. However, the length of the handle was clearly stated and therefore, that is my issue rather than the spatula.
