Really good indoor grill, easy to use and to clean due to removable plates
I recently replaced my old, still functioning smaller George Foreman grill with this one. I liked the older one, but it was something of a drag to clean, since I had to be careful not to get it too wet below the plates, as they weren’t detachable. I didn’t use it as much because of this. Also, some of the non-stick coating had rubbed off over the years, probably from my using Pam-type sprays in the past. This one has plates which come off and can easily be washed in the sink with a bit of dish soap and something like a Scrub Daddy sponge (and not steel wool). That it’s easy to clean is a real plus in my wanting to use it more often than the old one. It’s really probably best cooking for 1-2 people at a time, as you might have to cook a second batch for 2 more people, since you’d be kind of jam-packing the available grill space. There’s no temperature control or knobs; you simply plug it in, wait about 4 1/2 minutes for the other light to come on to alert you that it’s heated up enough, and then add your food. It grills both sides of the food at once, so no need to flip it. I’ve cooked turkey burgers, boneless chicken breasts, hot dogs, grilled cheese so far and plan to try salmon and other things soon. You might want to experiment how long you want to cook things, as 4 minutes for a turkey burger certainly cooked it, but, as advertised, it drains a lot of the fat from the food. Perhaps a little less time might keep a bit more of the juices. The fat collects in the plastic reservoir, which is placed in front of the machine and is easily cleaned when you’ve finished cooking. To turn off the machine, simply unplug it. Of course, leave some time for the plates and the machine to cool down before attempting to remove the plates to clean them. I’d also recommend not using Pam or other kinds of sprays which have added chemicals which will rub off the non-stick surface. Instead, I use a plastic spray bottle and use real olive or other oil to spray on if you wish to do so. This grill won’t heat the house, either. The first time you use it, the instruction book tells you to run it for like 15 minutes without any food in it to burn off any residuals chemicals, and it might smell or smoke which it says is normal. That happened as they said, but after that, it works really well, no smell except for the food being cooked, and I am very happy with my purchase.

Excellent Little Grill
Just the right size and clean-up is quick and painless. The plates remove and almost clean themselves! Steak, burgers and seafood all cook to perfection. My favorite is a grilled ham and cheese sandwich, and the George Foreman cooks it easy and to perfection!

Incredible Machine
I havenât had an indoor grill in many years and wanted to grab one that is simple and inexpensive. This George Foreman is awesome. Compact but will cook for three people and the food turns out really good with no real effort. Clean up is quick and easy. Highly recommend.

Great indoor grill.
To start, a few things I didnât take into account for my review: 1. I knew before buying this that it wasnât a â4 personâ sized grill. 2. No temperature control (my original didnât have one either). 3. Dual lights, one for power on, one for when itâs at temp. On my original, the light came on when it was plugged in and went off when it was hot. 4. The drip try doesnât attach to the grill. Again same as my original.Iâve had the original George Foreman grill that I believe came out in â94 or â95 for just about since it first came out, and itâs worked great for me with no problems. It still works, but the coating is starting to come off (and itâs always been a bit difficult to clean anyway), so decided it was time to get a new one.I saw this one with removable plates and after reading reviews for this and other brands, I decided this is the one I wanted. Right out of the box I noticed this one was lighter than my old one (not necessarily a bad thing), what with newer and lighter materials and all. I took it to the kitchen, read the instructions and plugged it in for the initial âburn inâ. I made sure to turn on my range hood exhaust first!! Washed it, dried and put it back together. The cord is shorter than my original one, but most new appliances have shorter cords for safety reasons. The grill plates are definitely slick, they are non-stick after all. Some foods (Ie. frozen) do have a tendency to slide forward when you first put them on, but I found if you hold them in place for a few seconds, they stay in position so you can close the top half. The non-stick surface works great. I made a grilled cheese (with too much cheese), so of course it oozed out onto the grill and browned, but wiped right off with no problem. Being removable, theyâre much easier to clean. The reasons for not giving it five stars⦠it doesnât seem to get as hot as my original. It doesnât heat and brown as evenly, probably due to the fact that the plates are thinner. Lastly, and this is trivial, it doesnât come with a slotted spatula. Not a big deal, as I still have the one that came with my original. Plus, you can buy ones on Amazon if you really want one.

Makes food great!
Love the plates being able to clip off to be cleaned vs the old style you had to wipe them clean. It is a little cheap feeling with the plastic lid cs the metal on the original. Does it work well, yes. Have made chicken, grilled cheese sandwiches and bacon and all turned out well.

Foreman knocks it out
Perfect size for 4 sandwiches 𥪠cooks evenly. It is faster than my previous panini maker. Clean up is a snap (removable plates). Dishwasher safe i would recommend for anyone looking for a clean grill/panini maker.

Makes grilling a lot more convenient
Easy to use, indoors, day or night, no flame, less smoke, no splatters, easy clean up, dishwasher safe heating plates, all the grease drains neatly into a little pan, takes up little counter space and stores easily. Great for an apartment, where we can’t have a propane grill.

Great purchase. Well worth the cost.
Pleased with this purchase. The only downside is the oil catcher. Very shallow and needs continuous emptying. Very easy to clean the removable “grills.” They do not need spray or oil. Grills 3 large or 4 smaller choices of meat or chicken. I’ve purchased an identical item for when this one wears out. Five star.

Looked well made but it failed. Also had to post it back to USA which was costly.

I don’t know why this grill is sold on Amazon Sweden. It’s designed for 110 Volt and for an American plug, it’s useless in Europe
