No dangerous edges
I’ve cut my fingers on can lids, once badly enough that I have a scar. I’m known for my lack of focus in the kitchen, so I was very happy to order this can opener.It doesn’t work like a regular can opener, a bit puzzling but the directions were simple and clear, and in moments I had managed to open a few cans. Honestly, I’m sold on this device and I won’t used another regular opener again. The design is clean, the handle is made from recycled paper and there isn’t a jagged edge in sight.I’ve noticed that on some cans the lid needs to be firmly removed. The can opener has done it’s job, but I think the paper label on the can might be catching. It’s not an issue, just a gentle wiggle and all’s well.

I prefer the design of can openers that have just one grip. This has that and opens cans without dropping the lid into the contents.Other can openers can do that too, but this one is made of metal with just a tasteful amount of reinforced paper for grip. It also has a bottle opener (which is delightful to use because of the single grip).

This is by far the absolute best can opener that Iâve had in my lifetime of 75 years! Smooth and easy with no forcing on fingers or hands while rotating around the can one time. What do you end up with is a lid that is totally smooth around the edge, and the rim of the can is totally smooth around the edge. And the feel of the handle and the entire unit is like driving a beautiful automobile. As a bonus, you can use the lid as a cover if you only use a portion of the can, or use the can for something else in the future! I canât wait to fill up a can full of money, money, money, and put the lid, cover back on and place the can into the back of the pantry! What a safety deposit box!!!

Works pretty well
On some cans it’s hard to get alined correctly, and the feel of feedback from the cut could be better, but I’m not opening cans every day so I think changing from an old can opener that was older than I was to this is just a matter of time. Would recommend.

I have used this style of can opener for about 5 years and love it. When the gears on my old one wore out, I decided to splurge and get one that was more metal and less plastic, thinking it would be even better. Jokes on me! I tried 3 different cans and couldn’t get any of them open. I went around the can 2-3 times but it still didn’t make a complete cut. I was barely able to pry the lid off enough to get at the contents, which had METAL SHAVINGS on top from the horrible cutting job. Fortunately I still had the package and was within the return window. I don’t know if I just got a lemon, but I will be going back to the cheaper plastic ones to replace this hunk of junk.

Smooth Edge!
Wow, this is officially my favorite can opener. I love how it leaves a smooth edge around the top of the can. So much better than anything else I have used before. Material is so cool too. It does look like wood. Feels good to use less plastic in my kitchen. Definitely five stars.

Had a similar style smooth edge can opener with magnet and whatnot that fell apart and a couple of the normal vertical cut can openers before. But this one is the best by far
