Makes your cake look so professional
My first attempt and the cake turned out exactly as described. I was thrilled with the results. Hint: Read the added notes under the main directions, they really help! The ganache was too thick on the cake for me personally (used the recipe on Frost Form’s website) however it tasted delicious!The cake can be a max of 6″ high with the form (I thought it would be higher as the description says the form is 10″x10″x10″) but my pictures are a two-layer cake and I could have added a third, so it is enough for me.I do plan on using my Frost Form again and again. Next time I will try the buttercream recipe.

Doesn’t work, it is warped. Comes too spiraled that it is incredibly difficult to use and does not line up properly (big gap where it meets). Would not recommend this at all and will be returning.

What a Neat Kit!
I bought this Frost Form kit after it was recommended by another person to me and I will never ganache my cakes any other way! I used the oil ganache recipe, followed it closely and my cake came out flawlessly! It was nice and smooth and ready to be covered in fondant. The kit had everything that I needed to successfully frost and then ganache an 6″ round cake. I want to get the 8″ and 10″ round kits too, after trying the 6″ round kit. What a neat concept! This purchase has been life-changing.

Some things are a bit off….
Some have commented there wasn’t enough space and I agree. First of all, the plastic ring is not sharp enough to cut through your cakes edges. The one on their website offers a stainless steel one and a very thin, flexible base liner that goes on top of the main base liner. The thin flexible base liner assists on removing your cake from the main, sturdy base liner when you are removing the cake from the mold. The kit they are selling on Amazon does not include this. Secondly, the spacing. The reason the spacing might not be enough is the product may have not been made by the specifications thus, yielding a wider cake using the plastic cake cutter. If this is your problem, I suggest using a knife to trim your cake a little smaller. It’s either manufactured wrong, or the plastic cutter is too thick. I really wished I would have bought the product directly from the website. If you go to their website, you will see a stainless steel ring. That steel ring has got to be less thick than the plastic ring that is sold in this product on Amazon. I am really disappointed in this version. I may buy a steel ring so that the edges are sharp enough to trim the cake and will be much thinner leaving more room between the product and the cake.

Great for beginners
I really liked using the Frost Formâit was my first time, and it was pretty simple to use as long as you follow the instructions. Watching the tutorial video was also really helpful. I didnât use the ganache recipe included with the kit because the quantity of ingredients was excessive for the size of the cake I was making. Instead, I went to the Frost Form website and used a recipe from there, which turned out perfect for a beginner like me!
