I like it: it is light and not too thick, but feels sturdy and cuts easy
My intended use was for camping. The knife comes with a holster, I also like the facts that it is not too thick (which makes cutting easers), nevertheless, it feels sturdy and of a high quality despite it is quite light, which is good for camping. Also it was important for me that the curvature of the knife is such that I can slice with the tip anchoring on the c/board. To me the knife is as good as the 8″ one, and convenient during camping. The built in sharpener is good too (though at this time I am neutral to its value). Overall I like it.

This self-sharpening knife is the best knife I own. Well worth the money.

Sharp, But the Self-Sharpening Gimmick Falls Short
This paring knife is undeniably sharp. Its small size makes it perfect for intricate tasks like peeling fruits and vegetables or detailed prep work. The blade itself excels, providing a clean and precise cut. However, the advertised self-sharpening sheath is where this knife falls short of a five-star rating. While convenient in theory, the sharpening mechanism proves cumbersome and not particularly effective in practice. It requires a significant amount of effort, and the improvement in sharpness is barely noticeable after several uses. Despite this drawback, the knife’s exceptional sharpness and compact design make it a mostly worthwhile purchase for those who prioritize a keen blade and don’t mind manual sharpening down the line. Four stars â a solid knife, but the self-sharpening feature is ultimately a gimmick.

Great paring knife
I use paring knives more than other sizes. The two Iâve been using are now dull. I thought Iâd try Farberware because I know that is a good brand. Itâs a good kitchen tool! Sharp, easy to hold and comes with cover that sharpens it. A good buy in my opinion

Protected and always sharp.
I like my knives to be protected from blade damage. This one has the best of both worlds. Itâs sheath covers the knife perfectly, not loose like others Iâve had and every time you take it in or out it keeps it sharp. It feels comfortable in your hand, size is right for all your cutting needs and it even reminds you to wash and dry it by hand with a sign on the blade. Love it !!

Perfect Knife
I love Farberware best Pots and pans, flateware or cutlery. I love this knife as it slices through everything beautifully. It feels good in your hand. I especially love the fact that it came with sharpening sleeve that fully covers and protects not only your sharp knife but more importantly protects your hands and fingers.

Poor Quality of Metal & Unsafe Design
I would like to start by simply saying, you get what you pay for.
I am a knife/blade collector, I collect any kinds of blades, whether it be knives, swords, machetes, axes, so I know a good blade when I see/use one. First off, the metal used for this cleaver is very weak. So weak in fact that when I put it in the sheath and took it back out, it got stuck on part of the plastic and it took the edge off that part of the blade. Plastic shouldn’t bend or chip metal ever. The cleaver is not very heavy, so if you plan on using this cleaver rather than it being a display piece, save yourself the hassle and get something worth chopping with.
As for this not being safe, there are two concerns/observations. First, all around the cleaver where the blade IS NOT, is sharp, like every machined edge is sharp enough to cut yourself on if you arent careful or if your hand slips. Not as sharp as the blade itself, but still something to be aware of. The second safety issue is the positioning of the handle relative to the blade. Its almost like the handle is formed and angled in the perfect way for someone to cut themselves. What I mean by this is when I first held the cleaver, I had uncurled my middle finger(aka extended it out to where its not around the handle) and when I was bringing my finger back to the position around the handle, my finger hit the blade and cut it. Luckily it didn’t go deep, but I guarantee it easily could have.
Overall, only buy this if you either are going to use it for display or if you want a garbage kitchen tool. The only good thing I can say is that it comes sharp enough to shave hair off my arm.

Excelente cuchillo, trae muy buen filo y el estuche protector es perfecto, me gusta la opción que trae de auto afilar el cuchillo al desenvainar, de hecho me sirve para afilar otros cuchillos de dimensiones similares.
