It’s what I needed.
Came with all the classic knifes. Cleaver (which is what I was looking for), larger and smaller bread knife, and the knife sharpener.The knifes are super sharp right out of the box with plastic on the tips.The block is made of wood. I’m worried the knifes will cut the block. But the block color is beautiful.Maybe a image on here that shows where the knifes go for each slot would help.It was more expensive then I wanted to pay, but I was looking for 6 different knifes and the cost of them by themselves will cost more then the whole block. It’s heavy especially with all the knifes in it. And the knifes are good weight by themselves.

I was looking for a knife set in Kohlâs and target. I decided to see what was available through Amazon and found this little gem. They are very sharp, so be careful. They sit nicely in the corner of my kitchen counter.

100% Good for the price
You get what you pay for in this. Knifes are great and complete any task needed for kitchen duty. Haven’t had any issues running them threw our dish washer. As far as rusting don’t leave them in soaking water and after cleaning just use a dish rag. (Normal basic care) I feel it was worth the price I paid for a everyday normal family use environment.

Sharpener is not effective
I bought each of my kids a set of these knives 2 years ago for Christmas. I use my daughter’s frequently when I’m at her house. These knives are nice but need frequent sharpening and the built in sharpener is not very effective so I bought her a separate sharpener. After two years the finish on the block is also starting to chip off. This set may have been better in a plain unfinished wood block. We do only hand wash these as recommended and they are never in the dishwasher.

Looks nice and you get a lot of knives. They are much lighter than expected, this is not a good thing. The balance is poor. I have a chefs knife from the grocery store and it’s noticeably superior. I’m not sure I buy that they are high carbon stainless steel and if they are it’s likely very low quality. That is to say I don’t thing they going to hold an edge well and likely rust if given the chance. The blades are fairly sharp but need sharpening right out of the box and noticeably lost some edge on my first use cutting some room temp meat on a plastic cutting board.If you don’t use them often I think you will be satisfied with these. I wont return them but wish I would chosen something higher quality. These are replacing a set of JA Henckels 4 stars that left when moving. I had no expectation they would match a set that cost over 5 times much but I thought they might be on par with the no name grocery store knife I have, and they are not.If you have used high quality knives before these aren’t going to impress you if your just starting out or don’t use them often you may see them as a great value.

Great set for a very reasonable price!
I had been researching knife sets for a while. Purchased a set from another retailer for more money and LESS knives. I happened upon these knives by chance and decided to order. The block is solid and a beautiful color. Love the built in knife sharpener. These knives cut extremely well and I love that it came with 8 steak knives instead of 6.*If you don’t want them to rust, just follow the directions and don’t leave them in standing water or in the dishwasher!!

UPDATE – not Great
Had for just 2 weeks, rusting, staining, fullness of the blade, first revived was great but now Iâm returning the item. Luckily just in time for the refund window! ââââââââ-Great buy purchased for my mother in law and she threw out all her pulls knifes! Would say that drying then is a must to prevent rusting and to be super careful their super sharp, lifetime warranty is also a plus!
