Sturdy, easy to use & great coffee!
We needed a smaller coffee maker for our RV. There’s not a lot of counter space and every square inch is needed to cook. I thought about a percolator because it is much smaller than a drip coffee maker. This was so easy to set up and use! Within minutes of opening it I had hot coffee. I just followed instructions to clean first and set up, plugged it in and that was it. The coffee doesn’t take any longer than a drip coffee maker to make coffee. The coffee is rich and flavorful. It also stays hot for quite awhile even unplugged. The pit and parts seem heavy duty. I am very happy with this percolator. I actually went online and read many reviews before ordering. This one was the highest rated of all of them in every report I read. The only disappointment is that this one doesn’t have the clear glass top so you can see the coffee perking. Just a nostalgic touch that would be cool.

Strange handle but nice coffee maker
Have used this coffee pot since January 6,2025. It is an 8 cup but available in a 12 cup. I really like this coffee maker. It perks to a nice HOT cup of coffee. Yes I like my coffee really hot and this does the trick. I do have to blow on the first few sips to cool it. Second cup just as hot.The handle is a bit strange to start with. Only second pot of coffee but i like it. The only real drawback is there isn’t any visual indication when the perking is complete. Without my hearing aids I don’t hear it perk so a visual would be nice. The handle feels strange but very comfortable to pour. No drips. Perks hot and keeps coffee hot. I am not a Luke warm coffee drinker. Price good for a 10 cup maker. In the last 3 years I have gone through 3 coffee pots of same manufacturer. It’s like they had a one year use timer on them before it self destructs. Hopefully this one will last longer.

Makes Nice Hot Coffee and Is Easy to Clean
I love this coffee maker. It really makes excellent coffee that is nice and hot. I use a filter in the basket and makes the cleanup a snap. Also, I like the idea of it being all stainless steel no worries about micro plastics. I had a 12 cup Farberware Superfast years ago that I bought on eBay. When it died I bought a drip coffee maker. It just didn’t get the coffee hot enough to extract the oils from the coffee. I highly recommend this coffee maker.

    Nice Percolator . . . however . . .
I love this percolator because it is all stainless steel with no coffee going through plastic like most all coffee makers in use today. This is an excellent coffee maker to get one away from plastic. However . . . this morning I noticed my coffee maker was hot. Obviously it does not have a thing in it to completely turn it off if it notices there is no coffee in the pot. This can be dangerous if you make some coffee and leave it plugged in then go on vacation.I have an outlet that has an on/off switch (I got off Amazon) that plugs into in the outlet. After being done with the pot I turn off the switch rather than unplugging it.Also, it makes a very hot cup of coffee and it keeps the extra coffee in the pot hot until you use the remaining coffee in the pot.I just wish this pot has a built-in auto-off switch if it notices there is no coffee in the pot after emptying it.

    Nice upgrades from older versions
This small 4 cup (actually 5) is a nice upgrade from earlier models. It’s a replacement for an older one that still works but is getting fragile and finicky. The biggest and most obvious change is the cord. Gone is the old hard plastic ungrounded 2-pin that was around for, I guess 50 years. Now Farberware is using the standard rubberized 3-prong grounded cord IBM introduced in 1981 for its PC and is today used on all sorts of devices because IT WORKS! I’ve never seen one break, and a grounded metal pot is far safer. And it still makes great percolated coffee! The base inside is now one continuous piece of stainless steel, now longer a multi-piece retainer for the bottom of the perk stem, meaning less chance of failure.I use a drip basket type brown paper filter in the basket and you can hook the edges over the perk stem to little or no grounds end up in the coffee and cleanup is far less messy. Plus it smooths out the coffee as well!3 small cons:For the longest time Farberware had an extra support around the perk stem that is now gone. Not sure it matters. The basket lid no longer snaps on to the basket, which prevented it popping off. Not sure I like that. I’m using the basket and lid from the old one as it’s a perfect fit!It uses a lot more coffee. When filled to the 5c line it take 35 grams of coarse-ground coffee to make the perfect pot. My 14c Cuisinart uses 42 grams of coffee ground to powder to make the perfect pot.Overall, this is a great little pot, perfect for travelling. Combine it with a Zojirushi 16oz sipping thermos and you’re all set!Addition: A lady name A. Ricci complained that the cord is too short. I have an easy solution for her: Take the cord to a local Best Buy, computer store, or hardware store and show them the cord. It is EXACTLY the same as all computer power cords since 1981 and longer ones are common. Just ask them for a longer cord, like 3 or 6 feet and they’ll be HAPPY to sell it to you! One problem solved! On a recent trip the pot doubled nicely as an electric kettle bringing water ro a boil rapidly.

Difficulty removing the lid of the pot. There was no on and off switch on product and no indication with a light telling you the product was on or off unless you went to the main switch. The product was more like tin than stainless steel and had a very weak plastic handle. The product came with an American electrical connection and not a British connection with plug. This was not in the advert of the product. The product would not work with a British electrical connection that we had to buy and so would not heat up the water in the percolator which looked more like a tin kettle. We have to pay postal costs to send this product back to America which was also not in the advert of the product. Altogether a terrible purchase and a waste of one’s time.

Seller should not ship this item to Malaysia, it is not compatible with the power source.
