I just received my new 20qt pot. Washed with warm soapy water, filled with clean water and boiled to remove any residue or metallic taste. As I poured off the water I could see the visible rust spots.I’m so disappointed and upset that my hard earned money was wasted.I would not recommend this item to anyone as it’s obviously poor quality.

The ExcelSteel Stainless Steel Stockpot 20-Quart is exactly what I need to prepare for my canning season; it is also big enough to make a family kettle of soup. Being stainless steel, it will last for a long time, it is very durable. I also love the glass see thru lid.I have also used this pot as a hot water bath canner for just a few pint jars. I purchased the Ball® Home Canning Discovery Kit (by Jarden Home Brands) and it works very well. I don’t have to get out my big hot water bath canner for just a couple jars of jam.Overall, I give this ExcelSteel Stainless Steel Stockpot 20-Quart pot a 5 star rating and am very satisfied with this product.

Good size and quality. I mainly use it for making chicken and beef stock, has held up perfectly for this use. The lid is also of good quality, which I wasn’t sure about before ordering. I’ve had this pot on the stove with boiling stock for about 24-36 hours with no issues. No pitting from salt, no blackening on the bottom, no staining on the lid either. For an economical pot option, this is a great choice.

Pot started to rust around the rim after one use. Thankfully, I’m not using it to cook actual food in but instead purchased it to use as a hot water canner. It works just fine as a canner but I am disappointed that it’s already rusting around the inner rim near where the lid comes into contact with the pot. Hopefully it will last awhile and the rust will not spread. But for $32 for a big 20 quart pot used only to can with… I guess I’ll put up with a little bit of rust.

It’s a cheap pot, don’t expect much.
This is a cheap Chinese product. The “stainless steel” is of very low quality. Lots of pitting in the bottom of the pot after just a few batches of broth. Note that we’re not cooking anything acidic, the defects are due simply to the low quality material. The low cost offsets the poor quality somewhat but is disappointing.
