Works different than I expected but nice teapot.
Really nice looking, glass is what I was looking for, but it doesn’t actually boil the water. That’s ok though, we still have the old one to boil water to add to whatever needs it. This gets it hot enough that it’s drinkable right away and we don’t have to wait for an hour to be able to take a sip lol (we use our insulated travel mugs even at home). The dial on the front is not what I am used to on electric kettles, it’s actually nicer. Whatever temperature you leave the dial on, it will keep the water that temp all day if you want it to. It shuts off and on to maintain that temp. Since it never boils the water, there is no risk of it boiling away with the lack of an auto shut-off, which wouldn’t work with this kind of heat maintaining set up. Happy with it 🙂

This is a nice looking kettle. It’s so convenient. You have the option for setting the temperature for warming, or boiling. Automatically shuts off shortly after boiling, or you can flip the switch on the side, to stop the boiling sooner, if you wish.

Attractive with nice features but will some fallabilty
Update: When pouring after a boil or near boil, was feeling lot of steam back on hand so checked to see if cover was closed well. It seems not to quite seal at the handle end as completely as it should. Its just just , should this open/deteriorate further kettle will have sig problem. So really need to make sure cover is on well.First the one thing not of 5* quality: There is a nice temp dial and it keeps warm on this setting however apparently in perpetuity. Hence negating the auto shut-off. Now there is a separate independent lever below the handle that boils and it then auto-shuts off and doesn’t keep warm. So then you have the boil but not the keep warm. This though is not issue as one could compensate by using the highest temp dial and heating that way and it would keep warm and to then boil it’d be very quick. The problem though is bit of safety and perhaps damage to the unit should it be forgotten when (especially) on high temp setting and the unit keeps it warm for many hours (days possible?) . What i don’t know is if it will stop this ‘hold warm’ should water run low or out. I hope so. The manual is somewhat poor. Its all about parts is more tech-like and there very little about usage.For us its minor as the person who’d forget to turn the temp turn to ‘0’ just uses the boil feature. And for me, I’d not forget this-it’d be like forgetting to turn off the stove when cookies done. Also there is beautiful blue light and the color and shape both attractive and feasible in size. Bit of a retro design especially with the mint green one ( which i got-looks great in my light blue kitchen)

I Love This Teakettle
This electric tea kettle is a great addition for my Chinese Herbal teas. It boils in about 3 minutes which you need especially for black tea. It also keeps your water hot and has an auto shut-off after a boil. I got it on sale which was great plus it has a retro color.

Poor warranty service and communication
Bought this kettle in March 2024. It malfunctioned within the warranty period, requiring me to cut the cord for warranty claim. The replacement process has been extremely frustrating:- Had to wait 2+ weeks without a kettle- Customer service claimed they shipped replacement but provided no tracking initially- Multiple follow-up emails went unanswered- When finally responded, blamed ‘Holiday delay’ for an order placed January 8th- Poor communication throughout the processThe warranty experience has been extremely disappointing. I tried to contact Amazon on it, but they couldn’t do anything either. There is also no way to contact seller on Amazon either, they only gave the information on the manufacturer’s website.I would not buy it again or recommend to anyone due to the poor after-sales support – getting warranty service is an extremely lengthy and frustrating process considering this is a kitchen-essential product.If you are willing to go weeks without a kettle like me, you can try your luck with this product. I wouldn’t.

I liked the design and colour scheme so ordered this unit.The base unit has a central hub which had to be straightened each time ,the kettle was to switch on.This eventually failed to switch on the unit.I had the kettle replaced and again the same problem.The kettle is not suitable for general home use ,sadly.

Kettle is part of our kitchen small appliances now 🙂 We had good time with it; get also good comments from our friends…It has nice design, good ability to get in and clean it inside.One little surprise (good or bad) was that when we have left the room while kettle was on the round charger (unsure of the proper term) it has kept the water inside at certain temperature, however when you leave the house, you might need to take the kettle off of the charger otherwise it constantly boils the water until nothing is left?; unsure if there is any self-stop feature when the water level drops to certain level. We never tested it at which water level the kettle would stop & this needs to be empirically tested. So far it has been good time with this little appliance. Recommend it for small gatherings or cottage use?
