This carving knife is easy to use, cuts smoothly, no problems. It is very easy to handle and cuts whatever thickness you want.The only possible issue for some applications might be that the blades are only about 7 inches long, so you can’t slice really big meats straight through. I don’t find that to be a problem as you can make oblique cuts that do the job.A previous review complained that it was hard to assemble, which is strange because no assembly is required. You have to insert the blades into the handle, but that is trivial. A bonus is that the unit comes with two blade pairs, so you get a spare. I should explain that each cutting unit is actually two blades (what I called blade pairs) that oscillate, which is how it cuts. They are connected by a simple mechanism and can be easily detached for cleaning. They are dishwasher safe.

I read so many reviews and decided to try this knife. I see why so many people say the blades dont fit. They do fit but you have to press the eject button to get them in. All our other electric knives allow the blades to snap in and you only have to hit the eject button to get the blades out. Kind of confusing for the masses of people who rated this knife poorly. I understand as I am not a fan of this feature.The knife works perfectly and slices turkey well. Overall I am happy with it once you get past the initial confusion. They just dont make things like they used to.The length of the blade is also shorter than advertised but does the job so is not an issue for us.

Barely cuts through loaf of bread. Holding it is incredible uncomfortable. Material is cheap! Not happy. I would spend more and look into something w a larger button and maybe a safety switch.

Knife comes with two sets of blades; one for meat and another for bread. The knife is very sharp and worked perfectly to slice a turkey. I wish the “on” button had a lock to keep the knife on. You have to hold the button continuously to make the knife operate. Normally not a big deal, but cumbersome when not holding the knife in a normal position.
