Edit Only worked 5 times then leaked all over the counter,Love it so far. There is discoloration on the bottom plate but doesnât affect performance and seems to be the nature of getting hot.

Best tea maker i have bought.
It’s made from glass, plastic and metal. I made texas style tea weekly and broke every plastic one anyone has given me. This holds up great.I brew green tea and peach tea, throw sugar in and let it boil. Then in a separate container i put ice in and pour my hot tea right over the top. I love this thing.

This is how I make my tea nowadays. What I wanted was not to waste my time nor the electric .Per the product description it should also keep the tea warm…..to be honest It is made well…except what you see on the video…. I love it but then I can not live with the volcano, cleaning or waiting to unplug before the eruption takes place. I have actually burnt myself multiple times that why I chose to unplug it. I make spicy or hearbal tea all the time….the very reason I picked this Kettle was also for its tea infuser etc thanks

This is a very impressive tea kettle, if your just looking to boil water then you may look for something cheaper. My husband is an avid tea drinker and this is perfect, it has the steeping basket and doesn’t boil to quickly which can often lead to bitter, over boiled tea. The keep warm feature is perfect for enjoying a full pot at the right temperature over a nice period.Well worth the price point, the size is great for small counters.
