Not Impressed After A Couple Months Use
This was a replacement for an aluminum ceramic interior Dutch oven I really liked. The non-stick surface pitted and I decided to replace it with stainless steel this time. It’s difficult to find a well made stainless Dutch oven for a reasonable price. This Ecolution was about the cheapest I could find. It did have some things going for it. I actually like a glass lid for a quick peek of what’s going on in there. It also had the aluminum encapsulated bottom to spread heat evenly. That said, don’t expect All Clad results from this pan, watch your heat so you don’t burn your sauce. The handles are solid enough and the knob on the lid doesn’t get too hot. One of the best attributes is the shape and design. So many Dutch ovens have too tall of sides. The Ecolution is shaped just right for braising in the oven. I’m not a fan of the way the lid sits on top, and the side walls are a little thin so food tends to scorch on the sides (that’s why I took a star). Since it’s stainless cleanup is a breeze if you soak it with a squirt of Cascade (or just throw it in the dishwasher). Overall it’s a nice Dutch oven for the money.Update 6/23/2021: Mea culpa. I deleted a negative review and I am updating my review (again). I’ve completely reversed on this. Yes the lid rattles when boiling something, but it’s just a signal. After several more uses it does spread heat fairly well and you can simmer things on low without scorching them. What I’ve learned to like about this Dutch oven is the stainless interior. You do have to be careful not to scorch certain foods such as chili or marinara, just keep the heat very low, but the ability to sear certain foods properly is a plus. It turns out I’m keeping it after all. Sometimes you need a non-stick, other times you need stainless. It’s really a good stainless pan for the money.

Sometimes you get more than you pay for
I have been using the 5 qt stockpot as well as the 2 smaller pots, on a daily basis, for about 5 months now and am totally pleased. I bought these after we had our conventional ceramic cooktop replaced with an induction cooktop. At the price point of the Ecolution products we were prepared to be disappointed; we were not. The finish on these is mirror like and stays that way with a modicum of care. The pots all have near perfect heat distribution as is evidenced by the uniform bubbles created by a simmer. We have both hand washed and dishwasher washed these and they are still like new. We thought initially that these, due to their light weight, would probably not hold up but, happily, we were wrong, they perform like heavyweights.

Perfect Pot for boiling things
This is exactly what I wanted for boiling potatoes or pasta. It is lightweight, which makes pouring the liquid off much easier than when I was using a heavy pot. It comes with a see-through vented lid. It is made of thinner-grade stainless steel than that used in heavier pots. It’s a good-looking pot..I couldn’t be happier with this purchase.

Quality cookware
This pot is very good quality. The stainless steel cleans up easily. The heat cooks evenly and the encapsulated bottom prevents scorching or burning the food. I cook a lot and Iâm very picky about the equipment in my kitchen. I am very pleased with the pot and itâs lid and the overall performance and price.

It is made of stainless steel but not very thick. Not bad though for the price. It will work for my needs. After unpacking, I noticed a small scratch and a dent in the side but not worth the trouble of returning. “Inspect after opening” would be my advice.

Dutch oven leaking water on my stovetop. Purchased 1 year 4 months ago. Who would think a cooking pot would leak? There is another review on Amazon.ca about this pot leaking. I am pursuing the seller for a full refund.
