Nice Quality
This stand seems to be made of good quality material. It is specifically made for a 12″ oven but it can be adapted to other sizes. I just got back from a trip to a camp where you are not allowed to have camp fires in each camp so this is perfect for that situation. Although I must say that you can accomplish the sme task by using the top of a second dutch for your fire pan. Having this stand will make it easier though. No complaints..

The best lid lifter and lid stand for dutch ovens
If you can’t tell from the pictures the center hook is spring loaded. You push it down, catch the lid handle and it lifts the lid and secures it to the metal hooks that stick out from the legs. This allows you to pin the lid and set it down without having the lid loose any coals or touch the ground! No ashes or dirt in your food.I’ve now bought a second one since using the first. I still use a traditional lifter to rotate the lid, but for lid removal this is the best. It also folds up and can fit inside some ovens for transport.They also make attachments to this which I have not used, but you can get a charcoal pan where you turn it upside down so you can use a lid for a griddle. If that interests you they sell various combo kits with multiple attachments.The only thing to watch with this is since the leg size is fixed, it will not work on small lids or very large lids. It definitely works on a 10 and 12 oven. Pretty sure I’ve used it on my 14 but not positive. I don’t think it would work for a 8 or 16, but those are uncommon sizes for people to only have those.

So perfect for camping
We cook a lot in our Dutch ovens while camping. This is great to take the lid off to check for doneness w/o having to scrape off the coals. Definitely have a hot glove to handle though, because the coals under it will toast your knuckles.

This is best lid lifter I have used. Best part is that it keeps the lid out of the dirt. I have used with the coal holder and grill. Right on wooden picnic table!

I am very happy with the quality of this. Very well made and constructed.We do quite abit of camping and struggled with lids and hot Camp ovens. Not any more!!Excellent addition for camping or anything dutch oven.
