Iâve literally saved time, money, and energy when preparing tortillas for Taco Tuesday or any other festive Mexican food night. Whether youâre using regular tortillas or burrito shells, this warmer makes a huge difference.The extra-large size works great for jumbo burrito shells, although for regular-sized tortillas, I fit five or six in there by folding them over and squishing them a bit. I close the lid, microwave them for 30 seconds, wait 20 seconds, then microwave for another 30 seconds. Depending on the amount or size of the tortillas, I may go a little longerâsometimes up to 60 secondsâbut the results are always perfect.Before I had this warmer, I used to toast my tortillas on a flat pan, which took more time and effort. Now, with this warmer, they come out soft, moist, and pliable every time, making the process of wrapping burritos or tacos much smoother and more streamlined.I can’t believe Iâve lived without this for so long! The polypropylene is BPA free, VERY robust and does a good imitation of black granite. Wayâbut WAYânicer looking than other plastic tortilla warmers.3. Unlike other plastic tortilla warmers the top nests OVER rather than UNDER the bottom. Meaning that it can hold many more tortillas even though it is small and compact. We were able to fit 19 home made 8 inch tortillas in the regular size unit.4. The interior is smooth and easy to clean.5. Did I mention that itâs way better looking than other tortilla warmers?We normally favor ceramic rather than plastic in our kitchen, but this tortilla warmer is an exception since is so functional and a lot more robust than any ceramic tortilla warmer.We recommend it highly.

The handle keeps popping off at one end. Iâve retreaded back into the slot several times in the very short time Iâve owned it. But it works for warming tortillas and then keeping them warm. It would also work for reheating general left overs in the microwave. It doesnât absorb the heat so the food heats more evenly and faster.

Size and quality of this unit is perfect however the silicone handle on the lid keeps slipping out of its attachment location. If the lid handle was designed better to ensure it doesnât fall out, I would have rated this a 5 star.
