Safe and functional
I bought this for my sister specifically because they make ice cream every year for a fundraiser and she ruins spatulas every year trying to scrape out sweetened condensed milk cans. This cuts smoothly around the edge so no more sharp edge to take chunks out of your spatula. Another perk is that the cut top can be set back on the can like a lid which is very helpful when you go camping or only need part of a can for a receipe. The one downfall I see is that it does take a bit of torque power from the user. My sister loved it, but her 80 yr old MIL couldn’t use it. So very handy and useful but may not work for someone with failing hand strength. Still, a solid buy for most and I wish I’d had one when my kids were toddlers.

The canning industry has moved on. The tops have smaller seals than they did before.This device works fine on the older version of cans,but the cutter doesnât fit the contemporary design (smaller) size.That is why it is getting mixed reviews.Iâll bet it worked great⦠once upon a time.

Very bad product
I purchased your device simply because Deiss sounding German meant integrity. I read the comments and saw half of them were negative but so many older people, my mom for one, (I finally bought her the Pampered Chef one for Mom’s Day. It’s incredible but very pricey!) have arthritis and difficulty in this arena! Plus complain about learning how to use a new idea… So I set those negatives aside, just certain I’d treasure it forever. Nope. This thing is like a piece of a little girl’s play kitchen set, like those kid scissors that won’t cut! Tried twice. Neither worked at all! Thinking I must be a dummy I asked several people to please try it. No luck. Now the refund is stating it’s gonna take forever and I may not get all my money back unless stuff so… We’ll see.

cut the 1st can, didn’t think it was cutting it…..didn’t look like it, and dang it did and it was smooth….only downside in my opinion is the part that holds the wheel down against the rim is plastic and not metal so it isn’t built to last. My last 2 were Swing-A-Ways when they were made in America and they finally puked…..they do turn and cut easy, watch the video, follow the instructions and it works…..of course if you drain juice out of cans, kinda a pain after you’ve cut the lid loose, but I have to say….it was a very smooth cut……don’t think they’ll last, but we’ll see, maybe by then, someone will make an electric one that works and holds up or someone improves this design so it lasts

I was a tad worried with some poor reviews but they are wrong this thing is super cool and easy to use it works perfectly no sharp edges and you can put the lid back in place if need be after you open it
