Great knife
Feels great in the hand and of solid construction. The finish is a lil lack luster, but it’s for outdoor use. My wife got tired of me using her Henkles when I grill so started building my own BBQ set and feel these are just as good at a fraction of the cost.

For years I’ve been using a paring knife that came with my knife block but recently I’ve been doing Home Chef and I wanted a better knife. So after some research I ordered this one despite the mild panic attack at the cost. (Spoiler alert – It’s worth it.)Aside from the form and artistry of the knife (which is beautiful), it’s just… exceptional. My husband likes to say “Use the right tool for the job.” If you are cutting veggies and such for cooking – this is the right tool for the job. It’s so sharp and is so easy to use. It fits in my tiny hands (seriously, I wear children’s gloves – tiny hands!) and I don’t feel like I am going to cut off a finger.I liked it so much, I bought the matching Chef’s Knife a few weeks later.

I love this Valhalla series, and I intend to have them all. This paring knife has been out of stock for a very long time and it was just put my back in stock so my husband got it for me as a gift. I am very pleased with it. It’s sharp and it’s beautifully made.Now, the issues I have with this knife out of the ones I’ve previously received…for the amount of money the knife cost, I feel like there should be more resin in the handle than what is actually there. My nakiri knife has a lot more in the handle and I am pleased about that. The box that the paring knife came in is different than the other 2 I’ve purchased. This one seems a little less valuable. The box is not colored like the other two and did not contain the paperwork that the other ones came with. It looks cheaper to be honest and I don’t really like that. And lastly, I won’t make this one a huge deal but the knife itself is very thick. It is sharp and it gets the job done. It’s a sturdy blade. But for a paring knife, the blade is thicker than I was expecting it to be.Overall, I do like the knife. I just wish the packaging was the same as the other knives.

Excellent balance
I have had Dalstrong knives for years. Valhalla series marks the third series that I am slowly buying one at a time. I find depending on what I am dealing with the certain series are easier to work with than others depending on what you are cooking.This series is easy to maneuver, fits in my grip very nicely, and the sharp blade is great for getting a very thin slice. I have been using them as my utility series.I like Valhalla for my all purpose and the Ice series for fine detailed cutting.

This knife was very well packaged in quality cases. After opening the cases, I discovered the quality of this knife had only just started. This knife has expert workmanship in every respect. I would save this one as a collector’s item.

I’m extremley disappointed with this product quality. I have couple of knifes from this company, but Valhalla series is a joke. Rusted in 17 months and blade fell off the handle! NOT ACCEPTABLE!!

I have had this 3 months and now it has broken!! For the price I paid I expected this to last longer!!! Not impressed at all and now that the return date has passed I suppose I am stuck with it. Do not bother with this. It looks nice but it only lasts a few months. Avoid!!!
