I purchased this knife specifically for slicing our loaves of homemade bread. The blade is very sharp and cuts very well. I use it for both loaves of bread and sour dough. Works equally well on both. The knife seems to be well made and balanced. The problem for me is when the handle gets even slightly wet, my hand slips. I have to make sure my hands are very dry when using this knife because the grip is smooth and my hand slips. Otherwise, great knife.
