Sturdy well made can opener
This Cuisinart is the only canopener we will buy. It is a replacement for the same one. The one it replaced was 15 years old! It is sturdy and takes little space on the counter and holds the cans while opening them. Easy to use, opens cans with ease and quiet!

Breaks easily. Poor lever design
0 stars is not an option so I gave it a 1. Used the opener less than 8 times and started having issues with it not wanting to start. That is when we found the broken plastic piece on the magnet/cutter lever. We were going to go through the channels to get it repaired but decided to move on from this poorly designed opener. No sense in going through the pain staking process of a warranty just have it break again. The rest of the opener seems well built. It is a shame they decided to cut corners in an area of high stress.

I ordered this can opener because it was identical to the one that just broke after having it for several years. You can tell this one is made just a bit cheaper but it is working just fine. I’ve only had it about 6 months.

Removes the lids easily and with one try. The weighted base is nice first larger cans. It has a fairly small footprint It’s easy to take apart for cleaning.

I purchased as I have other Cuisinart products and like it.
At first itâs bigger than I thought, taller than my other model, and heavier. It feels solid and industrial, rather than plasticky which is good.
It does come with a US plug, and its US voltage. This was not mentioned or realised until I received it. So if to work in the UK may need a voltage converter, not a travel plug. Iâm told this should work.
The seller was also very good with communication and being helpful which is a bonus.

I have had 3 recently other brands. Had to return them, pieces broke off, just didn’t do the job. This one, is the Rolls Royce of can openers. So solid, smooth action. Highly recommend it. Bit more expensive than most store bought ones, but well worth it. Highly recommend it.
