I’m a real customer –
So good!
We chose this pot because it has a solid base without the separately glued bottoms with copper. This is very durable and is used for everything! From popcorn, to boiling noodles, to creating stocks, it’s a perfect size for 4-8 servings. Some may find this slightly smaller, but we would recommend this as a staple among your kitchen supplies. The heat distribution is excellent – once heated, it’s important to use potholders on the handles as they do get warm. But this is advantageous for efficiency and well worth it. Would recommend this as a wedding present or pot to replace anything worn out!

Inexpensive solid beautiful
I am impressed with this pot that is made in France. It is heavy and flawlessly finished – competes well with All Clad copper core at a fraction of the price. This is the perfect size and shape to steam a lot of veggies or boil 1-2 lbs of pasta. It is so thick that it does take time to come up to cooking temperature on a gas stove. No problems putting it in dishwasher.

Solid, high quality, thick-walled stock pot
There are a handful of reviews about pot discolouration on use. This is super normal and has nothing to do with quality in my experience but rather excessive heat – very common if you’re using a gas stove as well. The rainbow discolouration isn’t unhealthy and is relatively easy to remove with barkeepers friend should you choose. The walls are thick and tall (without being excessive like those massive restaurant-style stock pots) and the pot holds heat incredibly well – much more than you would expect for a stainless steel pot. The pot is heavy but not so heavy as to be impossible to wash (I have a very small & shallow sink and it’s been fine). I bought this on sale but overall it’s a quality piece from a reputable company.

Beautiful! And really DOES cook better!
I am starting to shift from non-stick everything. I have grown tired of delicate pots that have to be hand washed and scrubbed for hours because they are too sensitive to use real cleaners on – I want to pop them in the dishwasher when I am exhausted from cooking, instead of saving them for tomorrow, and waking up to a sink full of scrubbing. I am also weary of having to keep separate pots for sweet vs savory – because my non-stick and my cast iron hold onto onion, garlic, and pepper flavors, therefore I have separate pans for candy making, and cooking jams etc so I don’t wind up with peanut-onion brittle, or strawberry-garlic jam. So, stainless steel… the last frontier. I love the way the French Classic looks, so, great sale makes it a good place to start! This is a beautiful, thick, heavy pot. I will not have to worry about the bottom warping! But not so heavy that getting it from the sink to the stove when full of water is a problem. The triply DOES heat quickly and more evenly! I made beef stew first, and was able to get through all the browning everything, with no burning or charing of the meat, mirepoix, vegetables, or fond, Yea! Absolutely beautiful fond, and one of the best stews I have ever made. One of the plusses for this pot is that it is deep. My previous Cuisinart 6 qt was shorter, larger diameter. I want a deep pot that will take a box of standard pasta – spaghetti, bucatini, linguini – any of the long box pastas – and submerge all of it completely in boiling water – without breaking it in half – so that all the the pasta cooks equally instead of having that 2-3 inches at the top that stick up out of the water the first couple of minutes, until the bottom of the pasta softens enough to bend. This pot does that, barely, IF you fill the pot completely, so better. However, a completely full pot is a problem on full boil, so a few pieces with a tiny very dente end, that-L-do. The ultimate solution would be even deeper, with a pasta insert that was also deep enough – but that option seems to be a unicorn – even the high end pots aren’t the proper depth, so this may be as good as it gets. As it is beautiful and deep, it will make appearances this fall full of spiced cider, cinnamon cranberry toddy, and mulled wine! It is the perfect size and shape for a hot drinks kettle. The one down side to being tall for the 6 Qt, is that there is less real estate in the bottom, so, browning meat for the stew had to be done in 3 batches, as opposed to the usual two, and turning was a bit more awkward due to the smaller diameter. So, I am probably going to need the larger one as well. I have read about people having issues with sticking, but following the directions for stainless steel – to preheat the pan until water water dances, then add the fat and heat until it ripples before adding the food works, and everything released once it was browned as promised, but you must be patient! As this is fully clad, the previous issue I had (in an earlier sashay into Stainless steel) with things cooking ok on the bottom, but burning on the sides where the disk stopped, that is not an issue with this fully clad pot, Yea! Again! And, I put it in the dishwasher! When cleaned, there was a small discolored patch that came right off with Bar Keeper’s Friend, so Very Much better! I will be moving to fully clad stainless steel. I am a bit worried about the sharp rims issue, but if more of this set goes on a proper sale, I think I will risk it, while we all wait on the industry to get itself sorted out and come out with fully clad AND ENCLOSED RIMS.According to the research, the Cuisinart French Classic Triply has the same specifications as the famous American fully clad triply – same pan thickness and layers – and since it would seem that a class action suit is necessary to get faulty pots replaced that were within their famous warranty, I’m not willing to pay the extra for a warranty that doesn’t work. And the “American” company has changed their “promises” from “made in America” to “Engineered and assembled in America” so guessing that means manufactured in China, but attached the handles in Pennsylvania. I’ll take “Made in France”.I am Very Happy with this purchase – it is a wonderful step up, and I foresee many happy meals with this lovely pot.

Best Pot Ever!
This solid stainless steel pot is the very best mid-sized pot I’ve ever owned. It is sturdy, very well made, has really good handles, and is just what I was looking for. This high quality stainless steel is hard to beat. It’s perfect for making soup, for boiling pasta, for stews, for anything of the larger-but-not-huge sort of pot cooking. It heats evenly and cleans up easily. I’m looking forward to making jam this fall, and this pot will absolutely do the trick. I sort of love the fact that this pot is manufactured in France, and image Julia Child would have loved having this in her kitchen as much as I do.

Great pans do not make a great cook…
But a great cook does need great pans and these are ultra fantabulous! Yes, I can cook. And I can shop. My Wife hates the amount of time I spend comparing products, reading reviews and getting opinions. I looked at all brands, all styles and all sets with their respective add-on’s to see what I felt was the best for me. I like the clad multilayer bottoms. I like the big thick round long handles. How fast they heat up and transfer heat evenly is important. How the handles feel in your hand. I don’t care how they look. They live in a cupboard, on the stove or in the sink. I care how they cook and how they feel and handle. I have big hands and mostly all handles are thin, frail and very uncomfortable in my hands even with a pot holder or cooking rag wrapped around. These feel good, are comfortable to grip and all handles are well done and they cook great. They also clean great IF you read the directions on how to cook properly with them. There is one issue… and I expected it, and my Wife has issues with it… they are heavy. But, that is what makes a great set of pans. Remember, these are stainless, not aluminum. If they’re not heavy, they’re not as good. The smallest skillet could easily be a formidable weapon. LOL.
