Baker’s must have processor
This is my second Cuisinart 11-13 cup processor and much like the previous one, it’s great for all baking and cooking preparations. Although its a refurbished model, my experience with the product made it worth the purchase and savings. That said, it’s powerful, sleek, easy to wash, and holds more than the previous one I owned. Great product by a solid company.

Best design I’ve owned, with caveats about those plastic switches
First, what I love: This unit works better, and stores better, than any food processor I’ve owned. The unit is sturdy and powerful, and its design has really been thought through. All of the gripes I had about my older food processors are gone. It’s easier to load stuff in, easier to take the finished product out, does a better job of churning pieces around, allows for all sizes and shapes of ingredients without leaking, and has a really clever in-bowl storage stack so it looks good when not in use, but you don’t have to wonder where things are when it comes time to cook. I especially like the material used for the bowl and lid. It’s a much more substantial plastic than older models. I’ve already dropped it a couple of times, and no sign of a chip or crack; whereas our previous model cracked the moment you looked at it and always had to be used with a towel or tape to keep stuff from flying out the cracks. I have to puree a lot of food due to some health problems, so I’ve already gotten some heavy-duty use out of my new food processor, and it’s just a real pleasure to use. I no longer dread Puree Day.What I don’t like: Only two complaints, really. One is trivial, but they’ve done a bad job explaining it so I’ll explain it here. The lights constantly blink on and off as long as the thing is plugged in. They have their reasons. They want people to unplug the unit when it’s not in use, so there’s no danger of accidentally reaching in there to clean when it could engage. They want it to constantly announce: “Please unplug me if you’re not cooking!” I get that. But it doesn’t say so. Anywhere. You have to call what sounds like a foreign call center and wait on hold. And then they’re not sure, and have to ask their supervisors. I’ve seen reviews where people even returned the things, mistakenly believing they were malfunctioning. Would it kill them to mention this feature in the instruction manual? Finally, the biggest peeve, which isn’t a problem now, but I expect from experience with other appliances will become a problem at some point. And that’s the fact that the lever-style controls are made of plastic. It doesn’t take an aeronautics engineer to know that a waver-shaped piece of plastic is going to crack after it’s rocked for the hundredth or two hundredth time. It seems like every well-made item now has its one Programmed Obsolescence feature. Just had the up-down button on a newish toaster do this, and it’s almost the exact same material and shape. And this otherwise high quality processor is no exception. So be sure to apply pressure closer to the levers’ bases when you push them down. Do what you can to avoid dancing on their front ends like they’re diving boards. They’ll probably last a bit longer than intended. I imagine they’re expensive and a pain in the a** to replace.

Incredibly versatile
I’ve begun meal prepping salads. This food processor is amazing! Make sure to choose the right slicing distance for the blade. I find that slicing(s) wormks best for most vegetables. It makes meal prep a cinch! Well made!

Great Bargain
Iâve had excellent luck with refurbished products Iâve purchased from Amazon, and this is no exception. Over the years, (and Iâm 79), Iâve owned a few Cuisinart food processors. The last one I had was quite old and I wanted this particular model because of its many features. The motor is powerful enough to mix a good amount of dough, and I appreciate having the second bowl to make smaller amounts of ingredients as well. The only downside Iâve found is that the lid takes a bit of effort to open, but it is nothing that couldnât be handled once I realized that I wouldnât break it by twisting harder. The three different sizes of feed tubes are an improvement over my old food processor. It makes it so much easier to add tomatoes for prepping marinara sauce, for example, and also it works for slicing apples. Which brings me to praise the slicing disc that provides the varied slicing thickness options. This also is a big improvement over my previous Cuisinart food processor. Finally, it is nice to be able to store the blade and discs within the processor itself. This saves space over other versions which require special storage for components. No food processor is perfect, but overall, this one is wonderful if you enjoy being able to make so many dishes quickly and efficiently.

Great food processor and appeared to be new
I bought a refurbished food processor but it seems new. I love this design. I had an older model. I like how the blades are stored in the processor.

Stopped working.
We make our own dog food. We need a processor to mix all the ingredients together after they have cooked in a crock pot. We used it twice and it stopped working completely.Disappointed, we asked for a return and refund which Amazon gave us. We boxed the item up to send back and I got an email from the seller, asking me to take a picture and video to prove it wasnât working. They told me to throw the item away after taking the video. I explained that we had boxed it all up (which wasnât easy). Sellerâs reply was they wanted the video or they would not refund my purchase price.I returned the item, because they were unreasonable.
