THE BEST CUP OF COFFEE IN ONE MINUTE
Approximately 12 years ago before the Christmas holidays, Keurig flooded the TV air waves with commercials for their new K cup pod coffee maker that quickly brewed one cup of coffee. I liked the concept but never heard of Keurig and had no idea who they were or if they were a legitimate company or merely a scam so I didnât buy their coffee maker. On January 5, 2011 I was shopping in Costco and saw a Cuisinart K cup coffee maker. Having a Cuisinart food processor, can opener, toaster and conventional coffee maker I was familiar with the company and the fine quality of their products. It used the K pods that the other companyâs coffee maker used. It was love at first site and I bought the Cuisinart SS780PC coffee maker for $164.99. I loved that coffee maker and used her to pleasure myself every day and some days two, three and more times a day. Weâll here it is 11+ years later and she started to wear out from old age. The pump was sluggish and would no longer pump out a full 12 ounce mug of coffee. I sip and savor every one of those perfectly brewed 12 ounces of coffee. So I felt let me buy the current Cuisinart replacement for the model SS780PC I presently had and I went directly to Amazon and found the SS10 Cuisinart coffee maker and bought it immediately for $139.95. I was impressed with the voluminous number of 5 star reviews and I never pay any mind to an occasional 1 or 2 star review. Negative people write negative reviews and attempt to punish the manufacturer for mishaps caused by their own ignorance. Case in point splashing on the counter top. Possibly Sir Issac Newton could explain it better but if common sense prevailed there would be no splashing on the counter top. When a liquid drips from a higher point down to a standing liquid at a lower point the drops that are standing will splash up from being hit by the falling drops from above, especially if you use a shallow low sided tea cup. If a couple drops splash wipe it up with a paper towel, itâs not the fault of Cuisinart and itâs no big deal. Certainly not rocket science but basic rules of gravity. This new model does not have the blue light illuminatIng the water reservoir when water is low and has two heat settings HOT and VERY HOT rather than multiple degree settings. The engineers at Cuisinart realized these two features are not critical and designed a much better coffee maker for a $25 lower price eleven years after their original model was manufactured I loved my SS780PC but will have a torrid romance with this SS10. It is well designed and attractive, aesthetically adds to the beauty of my custom designed and handsomely decorated gourmet kitchen. I turn it on and immediately the open head icon illuminates, I put in aK pod and in less than one minute Iâm sipping a 12 ounce mug of freshly brewed delicious and satisfying coffee. On top of that Cuisinart gives you a three year warranty. Talk about a manufacturer having faith in their productâs quality. Iâm so glad I was skeptical years ago and never bought a Keurig. My old Cuisinart gave me 11 years of faithful service and Iâm looking forward to a very long and enjoyable relationship with my new SS10.If youâre looking to buy a K pod single serve coffee brewer, donât waste any more time looking. BUY this one it looks great, represents EXCELLENT VALUE, will brew you an EXCELLENT CUP OF COFFEE in a minute, is covered by Cuisinartâs 3 year warranty and Amazon will deliver it to your front door. GREAT PRICE, GREAT VALUE, GREAT SERVICE who could ask for more.

This is very nice.
This holds lots of water for the morning coffee run. Easy to use and clean. If your looking for a nice coffee maker, this should be on your short list. My wife like the hot water feature for her tea.

This coffee-maker has exceeded my expedtations
I bought this as my Keurig’s water pump went out after many years. I did my research and decided on the Cuisinart. I am very happy with this. It works wonderfully, seems dependable, and makes a good cup of coffee. The good thing is that I can use non-Keurig or recycleable pods without a non-conforming warning that I would get from Keurig. I can use my own grounds or some of these other pods from smaller roasteries and expand my tastes. By the way, the pod to include your own grounds is easier to use than the Keurig because the lid is attached.

Great coffee maker, just make sure that the seller packages it properly!
My co-workers and I pitched in to have this in our office. This machine is a gem. I love the Hot Water and Rinse features. Let me say, the rinse feature is the best! I ran a cup of water after someone brewed coffee and the water looked as if I had just brewed some tea. I didn’t realize that there was so much residual coffee sitting around in there.Public Service Announcement: If you use this in a shared place, please be nice and remove your coffee pod then rinse the machine after you brew coffee! Maybe even check the water level and add more. It’s super easy to do! You will become everyone’s favorite co-worker, room-mate, friend, etc… They will think “Wow, (insert your name here) is so thoughtful and always making sure that our coffee maker is ready for the next person to use.” You may then find little treats waiting for you out of appreciation. (Not a guarantee, but a nice thought)There is even a little hidden compartment on the side to store a pod for use with loose coffee grounds if you don’t want to use a pre-filled pod. I have it set it to come on before people arrive for work, and turn off after they leave…for those who don’t know where to find the on switch. (True story!, small kitchen appliances are hard to use apparently).I love, love, love that there are small charcoal water filter pods that sit in the water reservoir to help provide fresh tasting water. The coffee machine comes with one filter. I found a bundle deal that had the coffee maker and a package of 12 extra filters.I use a tall mug and have to take out the bottom tray to make it fit. It would be nice if there was a little more room to fit taller mugs. Removing that tray every time I use it gets a little annoying. The biggest downside was that the machine stopped working after about a week. The menu option was stuck on “Open Head” and wouldn’t let anyone brew anything or even get hot water. A couple of us tried all the troubleshooting tips and nothing worked. I chatted in with Amazon and they connected me to Cuisinart. It took about an hour to get the call through, which was a little frustrating, but I figured this is a busy time of year and was patient. I was emailed a shipping label to return the non-working machine and Cuisinart sent a new one to me before waiting to get the old one back. I was very happy with the customer service by both Amazon Product Support and Cuisinart. The only thing I can think that may have happened was possibly some damage during transit. When the original coffee maker was shipped to me, it was sitting at my front door in only the product box that it was packaged in, like if I had bought it at the store myself. No outside box with any kind of padding to protect against getting knocked around during transit. When I opened the box, there was no kind of packaging on the top to protect the machine. You know, the heavy cardboard type thing that fits around the product? Gone! There was one on the bottom. Needless to say, I wasn’t very happy about the way this was shipped. I also question if it was really a new machine if parts of the inside packaging were missing. It looked new and I took it into work hoping for the best.I just received my new one from Cuisinart and it came with all the packing materials and it was inside of another box nicely padded! I will be using this nice box and padding to send back to old one today, although I was tempted to send it back exactly how I received it. Since I am sending it to Cuisinart, and not who I bought it from, I decided to package it the right way for a return. I bought this from Amazon.com, Services, Inc, so I thought that the shipping packing would be a little better that what I got!Overall, my co-workers and I are happy with the Cuisinart SS-10 Single Serve Coffee Maker and we are looking forward to a long lasting relationship with the new one sent from the manufacturer.

I have been a die hard keurig fan but they keep breaking down. This coffee pot is easy to use, seems reliable so far and I love it. The rinse button works great after making many cups of coffee and the hot water runs clear to make just hot water. It’s louder and slower than the keurig BUT, it’s making a much better cup of coffee. I hope to update in 6 months and still be happy

Everything about this Coffee Maker is wonderful! It is the best coffee pod maker we have ever purchased. Previously we have bought 5 Kurig makers in total since they first came out. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON A KURIG. Our last one lasted exactly 2 years and then all of a sudden one morning it would not power on. My wife tried everything she knew to try as I was out of town then she called Kurig customer service and they told her to try the exact same things and still it wouldnât turn on. They then told her there was nothing more they could offer as it was un-repairable and she would need to purchase a new one. It was a $220.00 machine that lasted 2 years. They then said they could offer a 30% off coupon if we bought another one from them. The coupon never did come. As it turned out, we benefited because I found the Cusinart machine on Amazon and it only cost $130.00 delivered. Moral of the story is STAY AWAY FROM KURIG and buy Cusinart. You will not be disappointed!!!

This was a replacement coffee maker for us, having had our first of the same for about 12 years. Worked great over the years until finally it kept giving error messages to “fill tank” when it was actually full. Suspect this was from years of removing tank to refill. This time I will leave tank on the coffeemaker and just refill with a jug of water. The new coffeemaker does not seem to be as well constructed in that it is lighter and quality does not seem to be as sturdy but we are hopeful. Overall, pleased!
