Using for my kitchen waste!
My city just started a composting program so we have to keep all of our food scraps for the organics bin. This is a deal, we just put it on the back porch and put all of our food waste in it and empty it once a week. It looks nice on my country patio and itâs heavy enough that it isnât affected by wind.

Waste of money — Enamel peels away
In under 6 months, having been used twice total, the “enamel” (READ: PAINT) is peeling away on the interior bottom of the pot. A complete waste of money for this. I have always loved Cuisinart products, but this is either a knockoff or the worst product they’ve made. When it comes to my ceramic and enamel coated pots, I use a silicone utensils for cooking and a microfiber cloth to clean them, so there was nothing that should have caused this. I have never had any pot do this before. My recommendation: Don’t purchase.

Not a heavy bottom pot. Same gauge as sides.
Bought this to make large ounts of sauce to freeze. Because bottom is not heavy enough (same density as sides) things start sticking if you don’t stay on top of it and stir. However, it did turn out to be a nice size. Use it for canning maybe? Or boiling a TON of eggs.

The pot is powder coated enamel on steel as described. Cuisinart makes top quality cookware and both my wife and I are happy with the pot. I would have liked an adjustable steam vent on the lid but we can live without that.

Pricey? Ya! Worth it? Ya! Not a gift though.. You buy this one, for yourself to cherish, to love, to cook your favorite broths.
