Very Happy.
I used the Black & Decker Brew and Go for years, the first one lasted 8 years, the second 5, the third 3, and so on until it was discontinued. It made a great cup of coffee. I tried the Hamilton Beach Single, but I couldnât get the coffee strong enough, and then the Capresso Single Serve, which is a really well-made machine, but I donât like a basket filter, it tastes a little bitter to me, I much prefer a cone shape, but I havenât been able to find a single serve that had a cone filter like the B&D had.So, I decided to try a small coffee pot, researched a few, and started with the Krups, which I liked very much for its small footprint, cone filter, ease of operation, and it made a very smooth cup of coffee. However, it was not hot enough. So, I tried this one and was pleased to find the coffee is much hotter and this also has auto shut off (Krups does not). I did a temperature test while the coffee was in the pot and the Krups read 166 degrees, the Capresso Single Serve was 179, and this was right around 180. The water tank is a bit fidgety, but I just pour water into it versus removing it every time and I like that I can clean it so much easier than other machines. I didnât bother with the filter since I use filtered water, but I read it can help with how often you need to decalcify, so I may give it a shot, and I also purchased a Delibru gold tone permanent filter, because I would rather my coffee was not filtered through plastic. I didnât notice any plastic taste, but I did run 3 pots of water through it before I made the first pot. I found the coffee very smooth and was able to make it as strong as I like. Overall, Iâm very happy with this purchase.

Replaced my 4-Cup Cuisinart Coffeemaker
My 4-cup Cuisinart Coffeemaker has been my best friend for many years. It happily made me 3 or 4 cups of coffee each morning, day after day. But the coffee started not being hot — just warm and I knew it was time to replace it.Imagine my surprise when I saw it was discontinued and replaced with this new 5-cup model. I really agonized over buying this. It was so different and more “complicated” with its removable water container. However, there’s really no alternative if you want to use a coffeemaker for a small number of cups and don’t like glass carafes (glass breaks! i hate breaking glass in the house!)The good news is that this is a great coffeemaker and makes lovely, hot coffee. I have filtered water so I don’t need the filter that they included, but everything else is good. It is nice to have a new coffee scoop!IT IS ALSO REALLY NICE IT COMES WITH A PRINTED MANUAL. THANK YOU!Like others have mentioned (and I read all the reviews before purchasing this), I fumble with the lid to the water container. I also fumble with the top of the darned coffee maker. I’m sure I’ll eventually get better at this.It has the one design flaw the 4-cup had — water gets trapped underneath the plastic rim of the pot. I really which they could fix this.It does have another design flaw my 4-cup did not have: it seems to drip a few drips of water on the hot plate after you remove everything for cleaning. I’m not sure what it is that is causing a few drops to drip but it is easy enough to wipe up. Again, it would be nice if they could fix this.It is compact and fits under my cabinets. So yes, I recommend this! And I am grateful Cuisinart continues to make a model like this. THANK YOU!

Good enough
It’s not a bad coffee pot, but it’s not fantastic.PROS:Appropriate value at the sale price.Nice size for one or two cups.Brews nicely and I like the permanent filter. I don’t have any problems with bean overflow or filter mishaps.Simple design, Add the water and grounds, press the button and it brews a good tasting cup of coffee. There are not many gimmicky extras, except the water filter.CONS:The water filter is useless. The filter holder does not mechanically match up to the water reservoir. So you can put it into the water but since there is no seal, it is doing nothing except maybe adding charcoal to your water. No thanks. The top for the reservoir is very prone to falling into the reservoir. I finally just threw it into a drawer where it will probably stay until I retire this unit.

Perfect for My Camper Van.
I bought this 5 cup coffee maker for my camper van. The small footprint fits nicely on my countertop and that’s important. It’s easy to fill, the reservoir is removable. It’s simple to use. It has an on/off switch and that’s it, no bells or whistles. It turns itself off so I don’t have to worry about forgetting to unplug it. I don’t like to carry glass on the camper so I especially appreciate the stainless steel carafe. But the best part is that this makes very good coffee. The temperature is perfect and I think that’s why the coffee is so delicious. Five cups might not work for a couple but I’m a solo traveler so it is just the right amount for me.The only down side is that the carafe spills a bit when I’m pouring into my cup. I have to have a dishcloth handy to wipe up the counter.

What a mess
The coffee maker made good coffee but only stayed on 30 minutes and stainless pot you canât tell if any coffee remains. Returning has been a nightmare. Only return to UPS store which is 40+ miles away. Then I get a message saying I get no refund because I was sent an extra coffee pot. I did NOT get an extra coffee pot. I sent item back and it still says I didnât. What a mess!!

Third day with this machine and it’s great. I like being able to take the water reservoir off and rinse it — as opposed to machines where it cannot be removed and thus may be growing all kinds of things unless you’re diligent enough to do the vinegar rinse periodically. Perfect for one person — it brews about 2 medium sized mugs. And the coffee comes out HOT. It replaces a 10-cup machine that I never used to the max and that has who knows what swimming in the reservoir. Nothin negative to say, just a great compact machine for 1 or 2 people.

I’ve mostly ever used Keurig coffee makers, but I find they are not worth what I pay for them. I switched to a simple Mr. Coffee unit and it tasted horrible, no matter how often I rinsed it, ran vinegar through it, multiple cups of coffee.. there was always just a plastic-y strange taste. Found this little Cuisinart guy and I love it. It’s just simple, easy to clean, easy to prepare. A bit pricey, but I expect great things from this brand. My first cup this morning was delicious and I hope it lasts. The pot isn’t thermal but I love the steel because it will get banged around in the sink while doing dishes, I’m sure. I’ve never had issues with this brand so far! (I do want to add that the water filter insert seems completely pointless as there is a gap between the filter and where the water goes into the machine, so unfiltered water would go in?)

I like that it is easy to use. Great for one or two people. The metal carafe is attractive and break proof. Theplastic filter works well with medium or coarse grind. The only drawback is that the coffee does not stay hot enough.

Downsizing is a bit of a struggle and I needed something smaller than the regular coffee maker I had, so I ordered this one. Cuisinart doesn’t disappoint. It brews fast, hot, and tasteful. The removeable reservoir is great and you dont have to struggle to add water. Getting used to the metal coffee pot.
