Works great since 2020
This is an amazing little contraption for making popcorn. My husband makes popcorn at least 3 times a week. He adds 1/3 cup of kernels, microwaves it for 3 minutes (you may have to adjust the time per your microwave), and it delivers non-greasy, fluffy popcorn every time. He then pours it into another bowl, adds melted butter and salt – not as healthy but delicious! We have owned this since 2020! Do not hesitate to- itâs a great purchase. So much better than the microwave bags!

Easy to use, decent popcorn once you flavor it
Okay, 1/4 of a cup or a 1/3rd of a cup and maybe 3 and a half minutes in the microwave…. and you have plenty of popcorn. Okay, you do have to flavor it.. a spray of olive oil or a spray of butter then dust it with some cheese powder and then you have some delicious popcorn. And I can toss it in the dishwasher… only the lid needs to be hand washe… I am (and my wife and kids) very happy with this purchase.

It works well, even though we don’t use it as instructed.
We have a stir-popper that works great, but it’s a pain to clean, especially if we only want to make a small batch. So we bought this because the reviews were decent and we’ve had pretty good luck overall with Cuisinart over the years. It works well as instructed, but the popcorn comes out very dry, sorta like air-popped, which was completely as we expected. Instead, I use some coconut oil with the popcorn, cook it, and then add salt and additional flavorings, or whatever. We have a 16-yr old 950W Kenmore, so the instructions leave a lot of unpopped kernels … I’m still trying to find the best combination, but I’m currently using slightly less than 1/4 cup of corn for 4:30 and ending up with maybe 40-ish unpopped kernels (see pic). I don’t think I can go much longer than that without scorching, so I’m going to try some new popcorn and maybe different brands (this was Jiffy Pop white, but I bought it a while ago). It cleans easily by hand, and we’ve tossed it onto the top shelf of the dishwasher as well. Overall, I don’t see how it’s reasonable to blame the piece of silicone for the unpopped kernels, and it otherwise works as advertised, and we’re happy with it, so thus the 5 stars.

If you like Popcorn…
If you like popcorn, I think that you will like this Quisinart Microwave Popcorn Popper. I was doing the regular packaged microwave popcorn for a while. But that gets expensive, and who knows what the butter flavor stuff is made of… Then, I tried a air popper, and I had popcorn everywhere. Plus there is the set-up and tear down of all of the equipment… it just takes a while, which is tough when you are craving popcorn now! So, my cousin about this Quisinart popper. You just put the popcorn kernels in the bowl, put the lid on it, and throw it in the microwave for about two and a half minutes, and the popcorn is ready. Of course you you can put some butter in a little bowl to melt for the last 20 seconds or so, and then add a little salt, and that works too. It just depends how big your popcorn craving is. Anyway, this is a great device for making popcorn quick and easy. It is one bowl, one lid (unless you do the butter thing). It cleans up quick and easy. When you go to put it away, it folds up nice and flat Iâm thinking about getting one of these to throw in my suitcase when I travel. It saves you money, because you can buy just regular cheap popcorn. Itâs healthy, because you know exactly what you put in there (I come to enjoy just plain popcorn now). It doesnât make a big mess, it easy to clean up. There is no set up or tear down. So, thatâs why I say, âIf you like popcorn…â

What A Cool Find!
After searching through many reviews on various microwave popcorn vessels I decided on this one for the reviews. The fact that it is silicone, It collapses saving space in my cabinet were all deciding factors. I found it easy to use. All kernels of popcorn popped . I used 1 tsp oil and just a bit over 1/4 cup of popcorn with the microwave set for 4 minutes. But all microwaves vary so just watch it closely. All in all this is a great little microwave popper

Don’t let the popcorn burn, or you will never be able to remove the smell from this popcorn maker
The only good thing I can say about this product is Amazon’s return policy since I got a prompt refund.I followed the instructions, which said for 1/4 cup microwave for 3 minutes, 45 seconds. Then I made the mistake of leaving the room. There may be some microwave in America for which that cooking instruction was accurate, but not mine. I came back into the kitchen to find badly scorched popcorn. And the whole kitchen stank to high heaven even after I dumped the popcorn outside in the trash. The scorching obviously interacted with the materials in the popper to impart a horrible smell to the popper. Initially I thought – no problem. I opened the windows and scrubbed the popper. I couldn’t remove the scorching stains, but I thought that by the next day the smell would be gone. I was wrong. The smell was still there – strongly.Nevertheless I made a batch of popcorn – this time for 2 minutes, 20 seconds, rather than 3 minutes, 45 seconds (and I have a small compact microwave, not a super powerful one). This time there was no scorching, but the popcorn was not nice and fluffy and tasted like cardboard. It’s possible that it was just the brand of popcorn I used and, of course, air popped is never as good as a traditional pop, but the popcorn was inedible. And the popper still stank to high heaven from the previous days scorching. So dense, hard popcorn and lingering smell of scorching. So all I can say is never burn your popcorn in this unit because the smell is forever. Oh and the red color is ugly (what’s with all the red kitchen products as of late — did I miss the memo that red is the new avocado green)? Bah humbug. As I said, only good thing is Amazon’s return policy.
