Great for stews, curries and other 1 pot meals
We’ve been Calphalon users for years, but their non-stick coatings don’t last, so decided to just get stainless steel. These Cuisinart pots heat evenly, are durable, and clean up easily with a scouring pad. Look good too!

    Great replacement!
I bought this as a replacement for my original Cuisinart large pot as it met an untimely “demise”. I love this pot more than my original! Measurements are inside the pot to make adding liquid easy. The lid fits flat and is great for seeing what’s happening inside the pot. The curved sides make it a gorgeous piece, and I believe beautiful cookware enhances the cook’s desire to make an appealing meal!

    Excellent stainless steel product
This pan cleans very well, beautiful finish. I would recommend using wooden or rubber utensils, to avoid scratching.

    It’s a pot!
This pot is made of stainless steel! When you put it on the stove (if the stove is on) it gets hot. You can use this large put to cook large things. Water, rabbits, fishes, all kinds of things you want to cook. It does get hot, use caution. The lid is awesome if you’re trying to keep things in the pot you don’t need to get out of the pot, like rabbits. Holds about two large rabbits, quite roomy. I don’t remember if it included instructions, keeping the rabbits in the pot was kind of a learning curve. Anyway, it’s a really good pot. Buy two if you have a bunch of rabbits.

Product: CUISINART 444-24 Contour Stainless 6-Quart SaucepotPrice: $55Delivered: Jan 31 2024Pro’s:• Relatively inexpensive• Contour shape reduces incidents of boil over• Decent stainless steel quality• Attractive form factor and finishCon’s• None at this timeThe bottom of pot is an impact bonded disc with single ply sidewall. There are numerous articles on impact bonded bottom disc vs full-clad 3 or 5 ply pots. The full clad cookware seemingly being the better choice based on controlled and scientific testing. However, these published comments do not necessarily reflect real-world use. Our advice is that you should not be apprehensive in purchasing a relatively inexpensive disc bottom pot so long as high-quality materials are used in the manufacturing process such as the Cuisinart Contour Pot.Extended CommentsOur comments are based on ownership and use of various types of stainless steel cookware for over 20 years. By no means are these comments based on a scientific technical approach. We have an existing full-clad 3 ply Anolon 6-quart pot but needed a second 6-quart pot due to its versatility. We are not sure on the timing of when Anolon moved away from making 3 and 5 ply full-clad stainless steel cookware as our pots are over 20 years old and continue to work great. Our stainless steel cookware ranges from higher to mid-end brands:• Breville 3 ply full clad with bottom disc 8-quart pot.• Viking 3 ply 5-quart sauté pan.• Cuisinart 3 and 5 ply full-clad 12-inch and 10-inch fry pans, respectively.• Anolon 3 and 5 ply full clad 2- and 3-quart pots, respectively.• Cuisinart impact bonded bottom disc 4-quart pot.• Mon-Chateau impact bonded bottom disc 16-quart pot belly potWe have found that the Breville, Cuisinart and Mon-Chateau bottom disc pots perform much better in maintaining heat than the 3 and 5 ply pots. Either design distributes relatively evenly. There is a surplus of articles and discussions on the necessity of having 3 and 5 ply full-clad cookware being superior because of even heating going up the sidewalls of the cookware. In real-world use heating the sidewall of cookware (such as a fry pan) is good if searing meat or fish, where this will assist in searing the edges of the food item. Using a pot to make sauces, soups and stews, maintaining and evenly distributing the heat on the bottom of the pot is important. In our day-to-day cooking, we have found that a disc bottom pot performs better than 3 ply full-clad cookware. A good disc bottom pot provides even-heat distribution and maintains heat longer, which prevents thick sauces, soups and stews from sticking to and burning at the bottom of the pot. Although technically it is accurate to state that there is better heat transfer up the sidewall of a 3 ply full-clad, in real-world application there is no discernible difference in cook-time assuming that you occasionally stir the sauce, soup and stew.
