GREAT Cast Iron Cookware!
Got this for my girlfriend who’s the real cook in this household and she absolutely loves it! In 2 months it’s been used at least 5 times and it is so versatile. Stovetop and oven, no problem. No issues with chipping like some others have had, we use only wooden spatulas. Cleaning is easy but be careful as this thing is HEAVY. Got the Gradient Blue color and it looks like a great piece of decor on a shelf in the kitchen. Got incredibly lucky when I snagged this brand new for only $70! Can’t even find any other now for under $130. Was originally considering the best of the best Le Creuset, but decided I didn’t want to drop over $300 for a similar sized unit that we may not have cared to use. Cuisinart has always been a great brand, and this dutch oven is everything we wanted and need. Highly recommended.

Great product, looks better in person!
I haven’t used the pot, however it’s very pretty! It’s sturdy and looks better in person, hope it lasts for a long time!

Excellent performance, fair price
Did lots of comparison research, this one came high on many lists for price/value. Have baked bread and made stew, both worked excellent. Was concerned that some recommended against the oval, but I found it works great in oven and on induction burner, didn’t notice any uneven cooking, and prefer the shape for bread and extra volume for stew in oval casserole.

Nice heavy casserole
I have not used yet but the product seems nice and heavy as described. I trust a Cuisinart brand to be a good value.

LONG LASTING. WORTH THE BUY
I bought this in 2015 and finally getting the time to write a review. TALKING ABOUT LONG LASTING. If you want something that will last forever. THIS IS IT! I’ve had bought tons of pans and none lasted as long as this pot.Pro’s:Heats fastEasy to cleanLong LastingFood tastes greatAfter 6 yrs its intactCons:Its very HEAVY! IF you are more inclined to the lightweight side, then dont get it. If you are ok with how much it weights it will do wonders on the kitchen. If you are not looking it might stick when not oiled enoughOverall is a great buy and will recommend. If you dont want something AS HEAVY, theres a smaller version you can get.

Great dutch oven
I love it, love it!!! It’s beautiful red color, and very good quality. It came really well packaged though it did not arrive in the 2 day Prime window. I did not season, but have used many times with no problem. I made Chicken Masala and it turned out delish. It was great becasue everything cooked evenly and it was a one pot dinner. I hand washed it but could prob just as easily put it in dishwasher. My only complaint, is that it is soooo heavy, I did not realize how big it really is–but it’s a good thing too becasue you can cook a whole chicken in this easily with all the side trimmings. I also saw you can make bread in it, can’t wait to try that. I like it that it’s oval but it’s hard to fit on my circular range, though it still heats evenly. It goes from stove top to oven so easily, I just need my husbands help sometimes becasue I get paranoid that I might drop it. My other issue is I have a glass top stove that I struggle cooking with this on, with it being so big and oval, I have a hard time moving it around and not scratching the surface of my stove top. I am looking forward to growing my collection of other pieces.

Received “UNDAMAGED,” yeah
Not yet used. I bought this exclusively to fit in my new Breville Smart Oven for roasting meats, slow cook stews and battard (oval) bread baking. Learned the weight should not exceed 13.2 lbs. Only Le Creuset and Staub are that light. This is 2 lbs over so I had better handle delicately. My large Cusinart 7 pounder has been heavilly used on stovetop and oven for 8 years and is still in perfect condition. I sure hope this one gives me that great service. I only use teak wood utensils. Please all purchasers first run your hands all over the exterior to check for scratches down to cast iron which may not be visable in the dark provincial blue enamel.Arrived in a severely damaged Amazon box due to no bubble wrap inside, and weak paper tape tearing 1/3 of the box open which in turn tore part of the interior Cuisinart box open and even tore up the interior bubble wrap in 4 areas. Amazingly still the oven oven came through undamaged. Will report back if the Cuisinart quality has dropped.

If you’re looking for a good Dutch Oven at a reasonable price, this is a pretty good bet. I hunted high and low to find something made in North America or Europe, and just couldn’t find one at a price I was comfortable with (especially given I wasn’t sure how much I would end up using it).So after conceding to a “Made in China” product, this is the one I went with. I’m getting a ton of use out of it – more than I had expected when I first purchased it. It’s replaced pots, pans and casserole dishes for any given meal and cleans up to look like new with a reasonable amount of effort (e.g., nothing burnt-on, no stains). Given how much I use it, I imagine I’l upgrade to something a bit more premium when (or if) this bites the dust.

Great Dutch oven. Use it a lot to bake bread. This thing is hefty and heavy. Which is perfect when using it on the stove and transferring to the oven.
