Very usefull, not only for pasta
Im loving this pot and the straining cover is all I needed. It is fine for pasta, as advertised but it does fab with all your veggies, potatos… anything you want to boil.Yes it is big and gets heavy, but no extra just manage the amount of water, even for pasta you actually dont need that much.If I could improvement something would be the handles as they get hot and you are going to need a cloth to maneuvre, an improve in the handles would be great in that way.Quality is nice and peace ot stainless steel

The pasta pot we have been missing all this time…
Toss out your colander!! Well maybe not just yet, it works well for pasta and cooked things but you still need to strain other things. This pot is great. Well made and stylish. Only been using it for about a month but since everyone in the house loves pasta it is now the most used cooking utensil this side of the spatula!!! Would recommend to family and friends, heck I just might buy one for them!!

WHERE HAS THIS BEEN MY WHOLE LIFE?!
This pot has changed my life!! I only wish I’d known about it sooner!! I make pasta/rice/stuff that needs to be strained just about every other day of the week. We eat alot of rice and pasta haha I am done using traditional strainers because I am a germaphobe and don’t like to have the strainer in the sink and the thought of that strained water overflowing yucky sink water into my pasta grosses me out. So then I tried the kind of strainer that stretches across the sink, and that worked okay, but it was a struggle to get the pasta back into the pot when it was done draining and I always ended up making a mess transferring it. I also never liked the built in strianer pots because the pasta would stick to the strainer holes and wouls be such a mess to clean up. But THIS pot solves all of those problems!!!! This pot is bigger than it looks – it is narrow so it looks small, but it holds a TON of water! It is also so lightweight and easy to clean, I love that it is dishwasher safe! It does take awhile to heat up, maybe ten or so munutes, especially when you fill it with alot of water, but that is to be expected, especially since it has holes that release some of the steam. But I just plan ahead and get it going early since I know it takes a minute. One of the best features about this pot is the handles, they don’t get hot! They get warm, but I have not ended up needing oven mitts to hold the handles at all. And lastly, the best feature of all, the straining lid! It is pretty easy to figure out, it took me a few tries to figure out which way to spin for a good lock and how to unlock it. It’s super important to make sure it is locked properly, so give the lid handle a few pulls to make sure it’s secure before straining! I am going to buy another one as soon as I can afford it, and I highly recommend this pot!

Nice quality pot
I needed a new pasta pot with a locking strainer lid. I’d wore my anodized pot to the point the bare aluminum was coming through. This pot is narrower and tall than the previous. The nice thing is the pasta no longer boils over. With my aluminum pot, I would have to constantly watch the starch didn’t cause it to boil over. With the new stainless steel – there’s no issue at all. I don’t know if it is the material or the shape. But, it’s a nice surprise. Lid is held securely and is easy to get on/off. Great value for the money.

No more boiling over
I needed a pot big enough to boil potatoes or pasta, with a lid that allowed steam to escape. This pot is perfect. Not too big, not too small. The lid allows steam to escape, prevents water escaping, and serves as a drain. It also has marks on the inside to measure how much youâre filling. I am very happy with this purchase.

It’s Functional and the Right Size for 2 to 4 serving
We already have an 8-qt Tramontina Lock & Drain Pasta Cooker. We’ve been very happy with it for many years. It is extremely functional and well-built, but we need to have one for 2 or 3 servings. So, we recently purchased a 6-qt Cuisinart for easy access and quick cleaning. We are not disappointed with the simplistic design and functionality aspects of it, but what I am disappointed with are:. Too light. I don’t feel much heftiness at all when I move it around. With $39, I was expecting more substance.. The locking mechanism works, but it doesn’t look sturdy and well-designed, meaning if you happen to bump the locking areas, it could damage both sides of the locking mechanism.I definitely wasn’t expecting All-clad quality with my purchase, but was expecting more. I actually don’t mind paying a little more for better quality.NOTE: After many months of use, I’ve decided to upgrade my rating to five stars due to its easy cleaning and simple functionality.

I’m very happy with this pasta pot. Dishwasher safe, stainless steel, straining cover, amazing quality. Worth every penny. The only drawback is that I will burn my hand with the steam when straining pasta if I don’t wear insulated gloves. If you are careful, everything will go fine.

Ich habe eine Weile nach einem solchen Topf gesucht, weil mein alter Topf ähnlicher Machart kaputt war. Schöne Form, gute Qualität, praktisch in der Anwendung, weil man kein Sieb braucht. Klare Empfehlung.

It’s a perfect size and I love that I now don’t need to use a separate strainer. Very happy with the quality.
