    Perfect little pot
I was looking for a stock pot that was between my largest sauce pot and the larger stock pot we already had. This is the perfect size to keep in our cabinet and use every day. It’s only the two of us and this is great to use for everything from smaller amounts of soup to noodles to stews and beyond. The bottom is good and heavy so you run little risk of burning anything and having it stick to the bottom. Great purchase, super happy with it!

    Passed the boil test
Received as expected. Would have preferred a one piece pressed tricladbut the struck encapsulated aluminum bottom seems to be well connected. Handles could have been more substantial for a 6 qt stockpot. Ran a test boil on ceramic top with glass cover installed. About 15 min to a rolling boil with ~3.5 quarts. Boil pattern appeared uniform and to edges so I upped my plusses here versus a 4 qt triclad pro series compared separately and returned due to inconsistent boil pattern. Will keep this one and report back later on cleaning and glass top which others reported shattering. Overall pretty good pot based on boil test.

    Easily Meets Expectations
I have had a chance to use the pot a few times now and I have nothing but good things to say about it. I am just a home cook, but I have been so for many years now and I generally know what I’m doing. While I could have spent many times the price of the Cuisinart, I do not think I would have gained much advantage by doing so unless it was accompanied with a better cook. The pot has a nice heavy layered bottom which is helpful in not scorching momentarily ignored foods. That was my main criteria for selecting the Cuisinart. My second desire was large grip-able handles that are easy to use safely.I have made “meaty” soups and a couple sauces and the pot has not failed me and I expect it to last until someone inherits it from me.

    My Review, Stockpot
I Bought this May 6, 2018, and use it about once a week, I love this Stockpot. It still looks like new. The bottom is still flat as it should be. I would buy again or give as a gift. I would also recommend this to others. I will post more if needed.Update: I have been using this since May and so far it is my favorite pan. I love the quality and the way it heats up and cleans up, it still looks like it did the first time I used it.My wife was complaining about a high pitch screeching noise, which only some people can hear, if I warm the pot up slowly it doesn’t make the noise.Update…I still love the pot but the lid makes noises like it is popping and cracking, warming up or cooling off. I can not get the company to answer any of my questions, they won’t respond. I hope you have better luck than me.

Product: Cuisinart Professional Stainless Steel 6-Quart PotPrice: $75Delivered: Feb 5 2024Pro’s:• Relatively inexpensive• Decent stainless steel quality• Attractive form factor and finishCon’s• None at this timePurchased the pot on behalf of our Son who did not want to spend a lot of money for a good quality stainless steel pot. Based on our 25-year experience with stainless steel cookware ranging from higher-end (Viking & Breville) to mid-level brand (Cuisinart 3 and 5 ply full-clad and 1 ply with disc bottom pots) cookware, we highly recommended the Cuisinart Professional 6-quart pot. The pricing at the time of purchase was great. The bottom of pot is an impact bonded disc with single ply sidewall. There are numerous articles on impact bonded bottom disc vs full-clad 3 or 5 ply pots. The full clad cookware seemingly being the better choice based on controlled and scientific testing. However, these published comments do not necessarily reflect real-world use. Our advice is that you should not be apprehensive in purchasing a relatively inexpensive disc bottom pot so long as high-quality materials are used in the manufacturing process, such as Cuisinart.Based on our experience, (not scientific technical approach), in real-world use there is no discernable difference in cook-time between full-clad 3 and 5 ply pots as compared to disc bottom pots. A significant added benefit to a Disc bottom pot is that the thick bottom keeps sauces, soups and stews from sticking to and burning at the bottom of the pot with less effort on stirring the sauce, soup or stew. This is likely due to better heat retention at the bottom requiring less heat in the cooking process.
