Easy on Hands Can Opener
I like that it is nice and large and the crank design which is much gentler on hands definitely less straining. I find just like other can openers it struggles to open certain cans, I’ve had many brands over the years and there is always one or two brand of canned food that just makes can openers struggle to get a good clamp or something. In this instance it was a can of water chestnuts where it would cut some and loose its grip and I’d have to go back around to cut it. I’m not going to be super critical because even my more expensive can opener will have this issue time to time. I was able to open all the cans for making chili the other night with much ease and that magnetic knob is a nice touch so that you don have to use a finger nail or butter know to lift up the can top. One thing that I will dock star for is that the metal handles are made of soft metal and they can bend some with use. If the metal had been thicker or of stiffer metal it would be ideal. I don’t think it affects the way it opens the cans at least not yet it just makes the handles look out of alignment until I bend one of them back in place.

Too Large for Me
VWMYQ manual can opener is too large for me to use comfortably. For reference, I am a 69 yr old lady with smaller, arthritic hands. It definitely is rugged and heavy duty, made out of stainless steel. I thought the crank would be easier to use, but when turning, it hits the hand holding the handles. The magnet securely holds the opened lid. It is easy to clean and maintain with hand washing and thoroughly allowing to dry. I am going to let my husband use this can opener to see if he can efficiently handle it. I would not purchase this again.

Durable, well built, simple
Every “automated” can opening I have ever owned, broke. My hand crank opener trudged on over the decades without complaint. Unfortunately the plastic handle had given up the ghost and cracked and fell off in an irreparable manner. After going through two new electric openers (The kind that walk around the can.) – one came out of the box broken with the plastic gears clicking away once it loaded down The other would just load down and stop. The batteries came out HOT so it was working it’s little butt off. In the end if failed too.Fast forward to this bad boy! Forget the wrist crank, with this having the lever crank it’s super easy to ope the toughest can with all the extra leverage. It can be a little awkward at first but once you get the feel for it, it’s fine.The item is built strong with thick metal and what looks to be quality plastic parts where needed. Just a simple, good, solid, powerful can opener. This one should last me the rest of my life. (I’m 54. LOL)

Gets the job done.
While itâs not exactly a name brand âSwing-A-Wayâ can opener, it is a pretty close second. I got this because of the longer crank handle, for my aging mother to use. It seems sheâs gotten in a bad habit of buying cheap garbage can openers because she keeps having problems using the ones she already has. I keep telling her âshe wonât find anything that works better than the old trusty âSwing-A-Wayâ can openers but she keeps wasting money on inferior products. Hopefully this will be the last can opener to cross her threshold. The one thing I especially love is the fold-down crank knob which makes for easy storage. Well worth the cost.

I was so tired of my rusted and old can openers that I decided to get a new one. This one works really well, I can get a can open in seconds with ease, compared to my old one that would take several minutes and several attempts to open up a can.

A great can opener!
This can opener is worth every penny. I’ve used so many can openers and have thrown quite a number of them in the trash. Definitely don’t get low quality can opener. This can opener is an exact replica of my favorite Swing-a-way brand. I have both and compared them. The only discernable difference is the folding knob on this one. I prefer the knob that doesn’t fold down though because it’s more sturdy to use. I have carpel tunnel and this style can opener is easier on my wrist because there is less twisting. This is a bit harder to puncture the can with because of how tight the edges fit but it cuts great. The inside edge of the can is extremely smooth and it doesn’t skip. This can opener is a keeper.
