Having this bakeware encourages me to be more creative when I cook. First, it’s beautiful. It roasts food evenly and afterwards, clean up is a breeze! Just remember the knob is very hot when you take your food out of the oven.Also, some foods may splatter inside during cooking … The pan wipes easily, but you’d have to wash and scrub the glass lid before presenting your dish to guests at the table. I bought the blue, my favorite color. But red would be nice. Also, various sizes would be wonderful! Great value for the money.

I had the old corning ware that I’ve had for over 50 years which was also 5 QT. I did get a crack in it this year. So, I saw this Dutch oven made from Corning and bought and tried it right away when I go it. I love it, I baked my favorites baked ziti and also Tuna casserole and they came out perfect! Washing it out was a breeze.

***1 YEAR LATER UPDATE TO AN UPDATE!!! *** UPDATE*** Nice product exactly what I needed
One year later the photos (2nd and 3rd) don’t fully show what junk this product is. The 5.5 qt. Corning Ware Dutch Oven is a total disappointment. The chipping is unbelievable and what you really can’t see well in the third photo is the unexplainable black soot that has encompassed the entire bottom and rim of this pot. Done trying to clean this and tonights chipping after making soup is sending this crap right into the garbage! DON’T BUY***Can’t review yet how well this will cook but it arrived in perfect condition. It is exactly what I was looking for. I can no longer lift heavy pans and this is light weight enough for my needs. Appears to be well made from a company I have always had trust in. I have Corning Ware over 40 years old that I still use daily.*** UPDATE*** After using for 16 months there has been a lot of chipping on the inside. Although not an expensive item, I expected better from Corning, a brand I always respected. May be moving to China for cheaper labor and manufacturing processes wasn’t a good idea. Don’t expect years of use from this Corning product.

I have always loved Corning ware, I really like this item, I have used it to cook lasagna, rib roast, leg of lamb. And it is so versatile with the lid that comes with it. Easy to clean. All the foods that I have cooked in it came out so tasty. Highly recommend.

Scratches, but no harm
This has scratched in two years that i have owned it, but I still use it. Food covers the scratches so guests do not see it. The scratches are caused by serving utensils. Scratches do not impair cooking.

Bought for It’s size, the first thing we made was a casserole with cheese. The dish cleaned up without any sticking or issues! It looks nice, functioned well in our initial use! I look forward to using it for casseroles, for meals unknown and to rise dough in, like other reviewers!
