Cook N Home 8qt Stock Pot
I bought this stock pot as a gift for my mom and she loves it. She uses it at least once or twice a week. The yellow color of the pot adds a nice pop of color to the kitchen. It cooks everything evenly and nothing ever sticks to it. There’s still no scratches on it, but she only uses wooden cooking utensils and it’s very easy to clean. I will definitely be buying this brand again.

Perfect for Stews and Gumbo…
Purchased this pot, I love it. Perfect size for making beef stew and gumbo. I can definitely see this getting plenty of use. And will never have to worry about foods sticking ans burning. The finish is great and will never begin flaking off like those Teflon pots ans pans.

I had a ceramic coated dutch oven which I used forever. But, over the years it has chipped out, so I decided to get a new one.The size and description of this pot led me to select and I absolutely do NOT regret this selection. It’s about 1 quart larger than the pot it replaced which is great because now adding the pasta to the spaghetti and meatball sauce made in the new pot (this one) does not overflow and it’s very easy to combine the pasta with the sauce!I’m going to look at other kitchen wear (pots & pans) from this company because I have other smaller pots I’d be more than happy to replace with something of a similar size by this company!

Poor quality of non stick coating
The pot although the size I needed and despite only once a week and non metal utensils the coating is already coming off in a few places at the base.

I am so pleasantly surprised and delighted to have bought this. After trying four other and returning them, this item is just perfect. It is genuinely non-stick, and also made of a thick metal. So it conducts heat perfectly. Thinner ones burn at the bottom and stay cold on the top! The handles remain surprisingly cool even at a full blast flame. I m so pleased with this non-stick item. If they had other sizes of this product, I would have bought them all!

I feel like one of the most likely ways a pot or pan can “go wrong” is if the non-stick surface doesn’t last like it should. For now, this is a great addition to our kitchen. Our other deep pots are all 8-quart and they’re just a little too deep for pastas and such. We love this one so far. It’s pretty, the lid fits securely, and the handles are very sturdy. The ceramic non-stick surface works well. The pot itself is particularly easy to clean… the nonstick coating doesn’t stop at the edge of the inside of the pot, it comes up and over the “top” of the pot, out to meet the yellow outside, which prevents food from getting stuck there. (ex: if potatoes boil over.) The one down side to cleaning is that with the lid, you have to make a concerted effort to clean around the edge… if it gets particularly dirty, you’d want to have a brush handy because there’s a narrow area that might not get reached with a cloth or sponge. It’s definitely not something worth taking a star off… just mentioning it in case it should matter to a future purchaser. Assuming this lasts a reasonable amount of time, I absolutely give it 5 stars… but I don’t want to wait a year to write the review. If it doesn’t last, I’ll add an update. (less important: I love the yellow. It’s so pretty.)
