Began smoking immediately
First use out of the box I noticed smoke coming from the base. I was using this for arts and crafts and was blending a combination of 4 parts water to 1 part paper. Perhaps this really is not designed for anything except soft food, but I’ve never had an issue like this with a blender before. I guess it just isn’t very strong.

Decent budget blender – lots of plastic.
I would consider this a budget blender. Similar to what you would find at walmart if you were shopping for the cheapest blender possible. It doesn’t come with any of the bells and whistles that you see on fancier blenders but it does get the job done. Considering the price, I was pretty impressed with the volume this blender can hold. The blending chamber is pretty big and is the only part not made from plastic. I will give them credit for making the chamber out of a thick quality glass. But the rest of the blender is made from cheap plastic. I would not recommend dropping any part of this blender because I’m skeptical it would hold up to much abuse.The blending features are pretty basic. You can either turn it on, or pulse it. There is no different settings or anything like that. But thats all you need for most things. This blender also suffers from the common blender issue of not efficiently mixing everything as it blends. This is an issue I’ve experienced with most blenders I have used so i won’t count that against them. In the end it made a good smoothie so I can’t complain too much. Especially considering the price.Overall, this is an OK blender. It is definitely a budget level blender with a price to match. That being said, you shouldn’t expect too much from it but for the price, it is reasonably well made. Everything is plastic besides the glass blending chamber and the metal blades. I mainly give this blender 4 stars because of the plastic drive gears on the bottom of the blades which is not a mark of quality. It also smells like plastic when you use it. It filled my kitchen with a very unpleasant plasticy smell. Maybe this will go away as I use it more but its not a very good first impression. Luckily I didn’t notice any leaks so that’s a good sign.This is a decent blender if you just need something basic and don’t have a blender already but its nothing fancy and it probably is not going to last forever. Its not bad for the price but you shouldn’t expect much from it. It did make a decent smoothy so I can’t complain too much.

Came in pieces, smelled like chemicals
Lid was already broken so the sealing gasket could not sit in place. Had an overpowering plastic chemical smell. Plastic pieces were covered in scratches and looked like more would fall off.
