Almost perfect except for lack of intermediate temperature presets
UPDATE! I have been traveling with this kettle for almost 2 months now. I am more pleased with it than ever. It is an awesome kettle to travel with to make coffee or tea.This is a great kettle for making hot water. It is durable, easy to use, and highly effective. I looked at other kettles and the others all had drawbacks. Either they were too big because I use this to carry with me when I am traveling or they did not have a temperature readout which made it difficult to get the water the precise temperature desired. This unit only has one flaw. Which is the inability to set temperatures between 50C and 70 C.THE TEMPERATURE READOUT IS ONLY IN CENTIGRADE AND YOU CANNOT SWITCH TO FAHRENHEIT. But that’s not a big issue because once you know the temperature that you want your coffee or tea or any other hot water it’s easy to remember that temperature in Centigrade.The presets are:40C 104F,45C 113F,50C 122F,70C 158F,85C 185F,90C 194F100C 212F boiling 70 is too hot. I have to wait for it to cool down to drink my instant coffee. 50 is too cold. The ideal temperature for ME is 56C = 133F. Thus, if the unit had presets of 55 60 and 65, I believe that it would cover everyone’s desired ideal temperature. As of now I have to set it to 50 and once it reaches 50 set it to 70 but stop it when it gets to 56, which usually takes about 40 seconds to go from 50 to 56. At least it is doable but it would be perfect if it had 5° incremental presets between 50 and 70 or even better if it had an exact preset ability. It is a great kettle, I purchased another one after getting the first one so I am super pleased with it.

Ordered for a family trip with an infant. Worked excellent! Heated water quickly and was able to use it to santize bottles to making hot water for my tea. Folded up and took up little space in luggage. Highly recommended.

Very impressive
I got this kettle because i travel a lot for work, love having coffee in the morning and tea at night but am not especially fond of trusting the cleanliness of all coffee makers. The collapsible design makes it very travelable but it is so easy to use that I have started using it as my main teapot when i am home now too! Iâve used it twice a day for nearly 2 weeks now and i have found it to be high quality and durable.Some people asked about smell and taste, personally I only put water in it so I havent experienced any smells or Taste related to the material it is made of.I like that you can see the temperature from the time you turn the kettle up to when it reaches a full boil. This whole process only takes a few minutes – faster than a coffee maker! And I love the auto shut off feature that ensures that it canât accidentally be left on or boil your water away if you have to leave it for a bit.I would definitely recommend this pot.

Good For Travel
We got this little kettle to take with us when we travel for hot chocolate, tea or even instant coffee. In collapses down so it does not take up too much space. At times you have to work with it a little to collapse or pull it up. The electrical cord is about 24 inches long. It is only for heating water. Heats up quick and has an automatic cut off. It defaults to 100 celsius on initial heating, which is 212F. Then you can set the holding temperature you want between 40 and 90 celsius. The temperatures are shown only in Celsius so if you aren’t familiar with them you will have to Google like I did. And I find the buttons a bit hard to make work. They are flat touch buttons and I have to put my finger in just the right place, and when I want to set the hold temperature I have to really work with it because it seems sensitive to the touch. But we are going to keep it because it does do what it is supposed to.

UPDATE: AFTER LESS THAN ONE WEEK, TEMPERATURE SENSOR STOPPED WORKING. It went from beeping when it hit the selected temperature 194 F to a hard boil by 112. No beeps. Seems dangerous, who knows what it will do next. Not using it anymore.Seems pretty handy and definitely beats out the other international travel âkettleâ (cup, actually) that I tried. This review is from unboxing and testing onlyâIâll update after my trip if it changes.Pros: 1. Heats very quickly.2. Dings when it reaches the set temperature.3. Unlike other reviewers say, it can be set to Fahrenheit.4. Seems to work fine at high altitude (I am currently at 7000 ft and set it to 194, which is slightly below boiling point here).5. Volume of water that it heats is fine for one or two people.Cons (all but the first are nits to me):1. There *is* a film on the water if it sits at all, even with purchased water. I donât notice this if you pour promptly. However, it is concerning because it canât be blamed on hard water. This doesnât happen with my home metal kettle. I donât notice any weird taste though.2. it doesnât fold down as small as Iâd hoped, which is a little inconvenient for a carry on.3. You need to be careful about not putting downward pressure when using it since the silicone folds down very easily.4. The Max Fill line shows on the outside, but I couldnât see it inside when I was putting water in the kettle.I have no info from unboxing/testing on leakage or durability. I canât quite tell from quick testing or reading the instructions if it has a keep warm function (which I emphatically donât wantâI want a true auto shut off). However, since it dings when finished and is very fast, I feel like it will be harder to forget about than some other options no matter what. You do need to take normal precautions (donât touch the body of the kettle, watch out for steam), but when you boil water, thatâs too be expected.
