Bought this as a gift for my daughter when she went off to school. She absolutely loves how cute it is and says it works great. Heats up fast and the dial is easy to use. Beautiful pot.

Great kettle!
Really glad I came across this kettle, and at its current discounted pricing. If it had been at full MSRP, I think I would have just bitten the bullet and gone for the more expensive Fellow Stagg, though. Pricier but with years of solid reputation to justify it.This kettle heats up quickly and I love the knob to quickly and easily control heat setting, as well as the support for both Celsius and Fahrenheit. Seeing as I bought this to use with my Flair manual espresso machine, I keep it on Celsius, as that is what seems to be most widely used and discussed for coffee brewing.I was a bit apprehensive due to some of the reviews, but we’ll see. Something those reviews have made me decide is to not use the HOLD function, as I wonder if that’s what causes the issues with heat damage on the base? Seeing as it heats up so quickly, I don’t personally have any need for the temp hold function anyway. I do generally need to restart it halfway through my espresso prep (first pass being to boil water to use for preheating stuff), but it comes back up to temp so quickly it doesn’t bother me at all.One minor nit is the dial. While I love the functionality of it and also think it feels fine given the currently discounted price point, the faux metallic finish on the outer plastic ring just looks cheap. If they can’t do a proper job on the finish or just use an actual metal surround, I’d prefer it if they had just left it black. Given how well I like the kettle overall, though, I don’t think this warrants lowering the rating. Although If they were actually selling this kettle at its $!29 official MSRP (around double current Amazon pricing), I could see docking it a star here.OK, one other really minor nit is the timer feature. It works really well, and I especially like that it starts off with a 3-second countdown. But I think it would be nice if you could stop the timer without it immediately clearing the ending time result. Maybe require pushing the button again (or any other button) to clear it, and/or just leaving it up and perhaps flashing for a few seconds before going away. Just something to get used to, though, and also not worth docking the score over. I doubt many people will use the timer heavily anyway; I’m currently in between coffee scales and only using the kettle’s timer due to that.Overall, a thumbs up from me!

Base is made of cheap plastic
Looks great and worked fine out of the box, but within a weak literally started melting. why the bad is made of plastic that melts when it gets hot is perplexing. Started to smell like burnt plastic then became wobbly. I returned for a refund and do not recommend.

Love this kettle!
This kettle is wonderful. Temperature setting knob is easy to use as well as the touch buttons, the water heats up quickly and itâs quiet as it does. Thatâs a big deal since this is being used in an office setting. The spout pours easily and is so nice to use because you can slowly saturate the tea bag. Basically, you have control of your pour. I didnât think that really mattered before but when you have that option you definitely appreciate it. Iâve only had it for a couple of weeks but so far itâs great.

Easy to use!
Ive been wanting to cut down on my coffee shop trips and make it at home and this has enabled me to do so much easier. I just pour water in press start, and the last temp I set is there. a few mins later Its done as a well as my beans. 5 mins in the french press and im good to go! Looks great in the kichen as well.

Updated Review: Turned on by itself twice and partially melted!
This kettle turned itself on by itself. I was sitting just 10 feet from the kettle in the kitchen, and then I heard the water turn on (you can hear the element begin to heat the water). I asked my wife if she just turned it on, and she said no. So I turned the kettle all the way off by first turning off the “hold” and then long pressing the power button until the lights turned off, and the noise from the water heating stopped. Within 2 minutes, the kettle spontaneously switched back on and began heating the water. I unplugged it this time because I feared it would start a fire. I do not run the kettle low or empty, and I never overfill it. I have never overheated it because it is always full, and I only set it to 200-202 Fahrenheit because of my high elevation, causing it to boil at this temperature. I’m VERY particular about coffee and pay very close attention to how things work, including the water level, temperature, etc.The Kettle is working now, but I would like my unit to be replaced since I’ve only had it for two months.I will update this review if the company reaches out to replace it because this is a serious fire hazard.It may be a minor flaw with mine, like a bad solder joint. Every company has a few items that are not perfect, and perhaps I’m the statistical anomaly. Please replace my 2-month-old unit!Other than this issue, the kettle works well. I will give it my recommendation depending on customer support.Update: Within a few days, the company reached out to me and refunded all of my money. They didn’t ask me to ship it back or anything, and they didn’t ask me to update the review. A few days later they offered a few replacement. Their customer service is stellar, and they stand by their product. I would do business with them again just because they handled this so well.

Unfortunately it’s a fire risk
This is a lovely kettle but suffers from thermal runaway. Not sure if it’s just our unit but it heat up and kept heating up, refused to turn off even when pressing power button. Happened the second day we used it. Hoping the manufacturer will be able to resolve this, but haven’t heard back even after registering for extended warranty (which I did before using the kettle for the first time).
