Itâs Cold Steel… not much to add to that. I own a few knives, not an avid collector but I like them and I use my knives, the dozen or so I own are high quality (Tops, Kabar, Western) and I wear and use them daily. Cold steel products have proven to be outstanding value for the money. Razor sharp. Itâs a lifetime knife as far as I can tell.I put 4 stars for ergonomic because it is a kitchen knife and I carry a Tops most days, itâs not bulky or weird feeling but itâs a kitchen knife so itâs fine.The only real con is that it says it is not dishwasher safe… I donât really see any reason for that but I havenât tested the theory either.

Sturdy but cost effective knives!
We bought several of these to supplement our Old Hickory paring knives by Ontario Knice Co. Cold Steel makes very sturdy but cost effective knives. These paring knives were sharp out of the box. We also bought their kitchen knife set for our AirBnB and an additional chef’s knife for us. All of them were sharp and felt good in the hand. I would recommend these knives for your kitchen, particularly if you are getting into cooking, for your RV or camp kitchen, if you have a large household where utensils are used a lot and strewn about while cooking. Again they are sturdy but won’t break the bank. Hope this helps.

This is my first Cold Steel purchase but, every time I search for quality knives for everyday carry (EDC) or more defined purposes, the brand pops up in the list of best-reviewed. No surprise, given a reputation for design attributes and durable sharpness,often when reviewing an everyday carry, hunting, or tactical application. Take those attributes and apply them to your kitchen: this is a purpose-designed blade for smaller but “mission critical” tasks in the kitchen. Call me obsessive but I have paring knives from Germany’s Henckel and Wusthof, Canada’s Grohmann, and Australia’s Furi. This is my new favourite and it’s a pleasure to use. I love the soft, textured grip, the out-of-package sharpness, and the unique (for a paring knife) wider blade profile. Sharpens easily but you only need to sharpen once in a long time. This purchase has moved me to look seriously at other Cold Steel designes.
