Chicago Metallic quality, much-needed space saver
I’ve been using Chicago Metallic kitchen products for years and love their longevity and quality. This set is exactly the same material and build-quality I expect of them, so I have no doubt it will last me years. What I love most about this set, however, is the design. Nearly everything is the perfect size for what I need to bake/cook on a regular basis, yet it all nests neatly together so that it takes up no more space than the roasting pan. My kitchen is small, so this is a much-welcome change from the individual items that stack in about four times the space as this set.There are only two things I want to note about this set: 1) while many six-cup muffin tins are jumbo size muffins, these are standard size. That works great for those like me who often prefer to make a half batch, but it’s worth noting for those expecting jumbo. And 2) to nest appropriately, the cooling rack is much smaller than a typical rack and probably will work best for lifting up roasts for airflow rather than cooling cookies, unless half-batches are preferred there too.Overall, this is a great set, though. I love it.

Thank you! for this space saving idea
If you are like me, you have a drawer full of random bakeware – each of which gets used once in a blue moon and then goes back to the disorganized pile in the drawer. This is SOOOOOO nice. To be able to have a single set of nesting pans brings my anti-clutter heart such joy. I’ve only used a couple of pieces thus far, but they function as desired without any issues or concerns. The set is solid, has a decent weight, and I trust will last a long time.

Great idea, execution is okay. Sort of dishwasher safe.
This review is for the Chicago Metallic 7 Piece Nesting Set, Includes Roaster, 2 x 6 Cup Muffin Pans, Loaf Pan, Square Cake Pan, Baking Sheet and Cooling Rack. I got these as they are nonstick and listed as not containing any PTFE PFOA, and PFOS chemicals. And my old Wilton pan has rusted.The nesting design means that the pan sizes are a little weird. The loaf pan is more squarish and low than a traditional loaf pan. The pans have wide edges, one wider than the others, like a handle. That should help make it easier to handle them in and around a hot oven. The baking sheet is a bit deep for cookies but I’m guessing no one will complain as long as they get cookies. The rack/cooling rack is a miss: it will work as a cooling rack for cookies, but as a rack, the wires are thin and too close together to make it comfortable to grab. The cut ends at the edges are slightly sharp. It will be difficult to remove the rack if, for example, you want to make pan gravy and need to get at the drippings.The packaging says it is dishwasher safe, but not to use concentrated pod or tablets. Handwashing is recommended.This set will work for a single person, or a couple, or a very small family. It should last a few years before the inevitable nicks and scratches rust the carbon steel, so then you’ll be ready to move up to maybe stainless steel pieces or at least heavy aluminum.

Truly non stick
I purchased this nested cookware to replace some similar products from a big department store that rusted and corroded after just a few uses. I don’t believe that will be a problem with these. They have a nice metal gauge thickness and are made of carbon steel, which feels very strong. The finish makes them non-stick, as you can see in my pictures—it almost magically repels food material.The instructions recommend washing by hand to preserve the finish, although they are dishwasher safe. However, it’s advised not to use soap capsules. Essentially, it’s best to wash them by hand, rinse with soap and water, and dry thoroughly.So far, I really like this cookware set. Everything nests together perfectly, saving space and making it all come together nicely!
