Nice and sharp!
This has become my go-to knife! Originally purchased to cut my sourdough bread, crisp in the outside and tough to cut thru the bottom, works great! I use it for tomatoes and anything else that needs a sharp, precision cut.

This knife is just what the doctor ordered.
2/28/2024 – I bought this knife, because other Chicago cutlery that I own is high quality and long-lasting. Same for this bread knife. It is perfect for cutting bread. It comes in a nice sturdy plastic sheath which prevents accidentally cutting a finger while getting out of a drawer.

Great knife for the price!
Donât let the cheap price fool you… this is a good knife. I make homemade bread weekly so bread knives get used in our house often. This knife is sharp, feels solid in your hand and does the job and â bonus! â it comes with a plastic sleeve to protect the knife. If I needed another bread knife, I would definitely purchase again.

Perfect bread knife
It’s a great bread knife – does the job, relatively inexpensive, OK steel. I wouldn’t look further if you want a bread knife, just go with this.Remember that serrated knives are a huge pain to sharpen, and the sharpening process almost never gets it back to factory edge (or better), unlike for non-serrated knives. Unless you enjoy the sharpening process, I would never spend more than $10-15 on a serrated knife because you’ll be replacing that knife every year or so anyways (depending on use). Hence, this is the perfect little knife.Note: if you’re looking for a more versatile serrated knife (to cut tomatoes, meat, cheese), go with a better knife (Victorinox for instance) that is sharper and will resist acid better.

Chicago Cutlery Essentials 8-inch Bread Knife
I bought this knife to go with a large set of Chicago Cutlery knives we already owned. But to be frank, though well-made, it is not as sharp and thin a blade as a no-name bread knife I sent away for that seems flimsier, but cuts through homemade bread like a breeze. I like very thin slices, and the Chicago Cutlery knife doesnât do very well on that. However, for cutting bigger rolls and bagels, this one does an okay job.
