Work great as extra paring knives with my Henckels chef knives.
I was looking for a few decent paring knives to replace some older ones that I’d had since I first moved out. I worked my way through college as a cook and chef, but continuing as a chef wasn’t an option, financially, in my area. The degree gave me much better options, but I love to cook, and I do most of the cooking in our house. My wife bought me a nice set of Henckels knives over a decade ago. Fast-forward to today, and they are still in excellent condition, but several of my old, cheap paring knives were getting worn out…
These popped up on sale as a daily or lightning deal. They looked similar to my more expensive knives, and I love that style of handle. Some of my very first knives were Chicago Cutlery, so I bought a pair of these. They are inexpensive, with plastic handles and less-expensive steel, but they are comfortable in my hand. They come with plastic covers that slide on. They sharpen up nicely and maintain a pretty good edge. My wife and I both like them a lot, and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy a couple more, if these took a walk (I don’t expect them to be damaged. Like most of Chicago Cutlery’s knives, they are well-made and durable for inexpensive knives)!

Great knife to add to my Chicago Cutlery collection
I have a 5-piece wooden handled set of Chicago Cutlery from soon after we married, 47 years ago. They have never failed me and work as well as when they were new. This was ordered so I could have the same dependability with a knife in our trailer kitchen. It’s perfect! It is sturdy, the blade isn’t easily bent, and it it shaped well for my hand. Great addition to my CC collection.

    Great paring knife
Two of the three knifes I received had a razor sharp burr on the rear of the handle, that I had to file before attempting to use.

    Best kitchen tool
Chicago Cutlery is such a respected and reliable brand. I use it mostly for peeling, cutting and slicing
vegetables. Long lasting knife that does not need replacing often.

Buy this if you need a paring knife
There aren’t many brands that I’m willing to vocally tie my identity to, but Chicago Cutlery has earned its place in my heart

I have other Chicago Cutlery knives that I love, this one is about the same size as those but quite a bit lighter. I find it hard to use to cut things like carrots, but it is still pretty good overall.

Great knife, but it is so sharp I keep cutting my fingers. I think I have to buy some Kevlar gloves though.
