As a family who lives on bagels and toast in the morning, this is perfect. Super user friendly. Toast or bagel? Frozen or room temp? Now how toasted do you want it? That’s it. You don’t need a manual to figure out what you’re doing…its a toaster for crying out loud, it should be simple and work well. Another perk is that the two slots are one long unit each. So if you’re toasting a garlic stick or French bread slice, this toaster is for you!

This is what a toaster is supposed to be! But needs DIFFERENT and not all same buttons.
Cannot say enough about this toaster, but there is one design aspect that should be changed! All the control buttons are THE SAME. When a person gets up in the morning the last thing needed is a machine with all that buttons that are IDENTICAL. I have already burned several slices of toast forgetting to press the “reheat” button to warm up a piece of toast! While the design of all-the-same buttons may be aesthetically pleasing it is NOT functionally desirable.I SPECIFICALLY bought THIS toaster for the REHEAT feature! I am now going to have to wire in my own button on top of the toaster!Another issue is the trench on the top that collects bread crumbs. Button placement is excellent. Never buy a toaster without a 30 second re-heat feature. I use it to melt butter on pre-toasted bagels and bread. In my old toaster, I have probably BURNED 1/2 the toast I ever made in it trying to re-heat the toast to melt the butter. The timer countdown is great; I know when the toast will be done! If I could just get that on my cheap new LG washer, I’d be happy!UPDATE 4 April 24: Bug in the toaster! My favorite feature has a bug; REHEAT fails! I was burning my toast after pressing the REHEAT button. At first, I thought maybe I had selected the wrong button or forgot to press the reheat button, but after tracking my usage EVERY TIME I USED THE TOASTER, I found one out of five times the toaster does NOT do reheat when the REHEAT button is pressed before pushing the slider down. Since this is a glaring DEFECT in the product I am going to downgrade to ONE STAR. The product should NOT have a software bug like this that INCINERATES the toast!UPDATE again button problem resolved: to do “reheat” from a cold toaster that does NOT have the LED number displayed, one must press the “reheat” button TWICE. The first press wakes up the computer. The second activates reheat mode. It the toaster has been on recently, the LED will display the setting, ie.3 for example, and the reheat button will work correctly. After a few minutes, the computer shuts down and does not display anything; then TWO presses of the reheat button are needed….this has caused me numerous BURNT pieces of toast! Now that I know how it works, it toasts just fine.

I really like this toaster, especially for the price point. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. You can choose which setting you like for your toast, and it really is accurate at how much you want your bread toasted. Depending on how much you wanted, toasted, it can be done in anywhere from 3 to 4 minutes. The openings are big enough for normal bread as well as bagels. I love the design, it fits with all my other appliances, which are also stainless steel. The size is not too big so it works well on any countertop. The overall quality of the appliance is great and Iâm super happy with this purchase.

I ordered this toaster because my wife wasn’t satisfied with the previous brand we had. The toast was either too light, or nearly black. When I saw the Chefman at Amazon, I figured that buying it would make me a hero. I was right.With seven darkness (shade) settings, it produces toast from light to very dark. And every shade in between. The slots are wide enough to accommodate English muffins, or thick-sliced bread — a nice touch, especially if you make your own bread and like to cut generous slices.The manual mentions that you’ll want to run it without any bread in it for a cycle or two, and I heartily agree. Our toaster smelled like a hot appliance the first two times, likely because it was burning off any small pieces of dust stirred up during shipping or left over from the manufacturing process. From then on, you can use it to eat toast (or bagels or muffins) to your heart’s content.There’s nothing like toast and coffee to start the day. My favorite toast setting with the Chefman is “4” and my wife’s is a “2.” Now I look forward more than ever to getting up every morning.
