This rotary blade can opener by OUTWAY came in a bright pink color only. Certainly not my first choice for our kitchen but my wife said ours was shot so I thought that I would check it out since it isn’t out on display all of the time like some of the kitchen tools and looked like the design would be strong and good ergonomically. I believe that both of those attribute assessments are correct. However I do wish it were the black color shown on the box it was packaged in.The opener easily engages the raised lip on the can and the rotary cutting blade cleanly cuts through the lid to release it. The cut-off edge remaining on the can was very cleanly cut and no noticeable burr. The knob turning the cutter drive is large enough to provide good leverage so that reduces the amount of force it requires to cut the lid loose.There is a magnet mounted on a tab below the drive gear. I had thought it might be for removing the lid after it was cut out but it never is in contact with the lid during cutting. You would need to reposition the opener after finishing the cutting operation to align and use it then to pick out the lid. The magnet is strong enough to do that but it doesn’t prevent the lid from dropping into the juice or soup, which seemed to be the intent on openers that I have seen that feature on before.All in all it seems to be sturdily made. The only weak point that I note is the pivot rivet holding the unit together. The flared side on this rivet seems pretty small to hold and counter any torquing which may be encountered in driving the opener around the can. If it were to fail prematurely I would expect this would be where, although I do not expect that will occur.

I have arthritis and was concerned it may be hard to use, but i could use this with ease. The handle of the opener is larger so i could hold it with no problem and it turns with ease. I have to say I’m impressed! I ordered pink and it’s true to color!
