The Best Knifes!
Believe me when I say these are the best knives I have used . This knife set is an amazing value for the money you pay. When you get your box there is a diagrams that shows where each knife goes in the knife block. So this takes a lot of the guess work out of it. The block has wonderful storage capacity and fits nicely on my counter top. Each knife has a great weight to it , but not too heavy. The knifes vary and this makes it a complete set. I was able to chop and dice with ease . I really love this set. You have to try it.

Very Nice (But Handwash Only)
These are very nice. The block is attractive, the self-sharpening function is great, and the knives are well balanced and very sharp. They do a great job of cutting things cleanly and easily. The only downside is that they are handwash only, which isn’t a deal breaker since I already have them, but maybe would have deterred me from ordering them if I had noticed before ordering.

Great set but missing a bread knife
This set is high quality and looks great but comes incomplete so Iâm docking it a star. The packaging tells you to purchase the 8â bread knife to complete the set which wouldnât be a big deal except they have discontinued the knife and you canât actually buy it. However, I found a perfect replacement here on Amazon: HENCKELS Forged Premio Bread Knife. The handle is a perfect match to the rest of the set.

Super sharp
This knife set from Calphalon is amazingly super sharp. I like that it sharpens every time you pull it out of its slot and also when you put it back in its place. Hope it lasts a very long time.

Overall….HANDS DOWN THE BEST KNIFE SET I have ever owned!!!! or you will ever own!!I have been using my best friends “marriage gift” set of knives (they are divorced now) and they would irritate me because they were horrible. So I went to Ross and bought this for $40. Best $40 I ever spent. But it was literally a one in a million find, because I never saw them again… they disappeared like Keyser Soze (The Usual Suspect reference).An opportunity came up to purchase a knife set, as a gift and I paid full price on Amazon. It is expensive, but TOTALLY worth it. My sister was grateful, thankful and can’t stop raving about her knives.All the knives are sharp, cut quick and require little effort. Only effort to be mindful of not cutting your fingers lol! So don’t mix alcohol and knives.You have to clean these by hand, NO DISHWASHER but it’s only a small price to pay for the luxury of a good cut. This is an investment because I KNOW, I will be using these for the next 10 years…or until my girlfriend decides to give it to her child when they move out…then I will be sad, but I will just buy the updated version.
