I sell to a local coffee shop and one of my biggest sellers is my blueberry coffeecake, lemon raspberry bread, and banana chocolate chip bread. I would always bake them in a regular aluminum loaf pan. This silicone baking pan has eliminated the difficulty of removing the big loaves and slicing them. Iâve wanted to try silicone bake wear for a while, and making treats for a social gathering, I thought this would be perfect! I would still recommend using an oil spray inside, mainly because they are small little cakes and just made it easier to take out. Also, let it cool completely before trying to remove them. A larger pan might not have issues, but the small ones were kind of tricky. Luckily I had a narrow metal spatula and that did the trick. Also, I was making a pumpkin chocolate chip cake, and itâs quite moist and tender which made it hard to get out in one piece. I filled each one 3/4 full of batter. When you are done, pop into the dishwasher on the bottom and it cleans up nice! One more thing, it took a lot longer to bake than I thought it would. The silicone doesnât disperse the heat like metal or glass, so check like every 5-8 minutes past the time you thought it should take.
