Perfect size for so many things!
I originally purchased these to decorate and sell using alcohol ink, but they were so versatile, they never made it to my studio. I use them in the kitchen for any number of things! They are perfect for serving dipping sauces; the dish is deep enough to hold a suitable amount of sauce while the sides are high enough to keep the sauce from sloshing over the sides. The dishes are perfect for serving items like olives on an antipasto platter. I also use them for serving after dinner treats or before dinner treats like a couple of cookies or a piece or two of cheese and a couple of crackers. They fit easily into the dishwasher. They are much nicer than using pyrex dishes, and they are economical. The color is a little off a bright white, which is perfect for year round use. I have a number of different serving platters and small dishes from Crate and Barrel, and I found these to work very well with those dishes. I love them!

These are NOT 8 ounce!
So, you might wonder, if Iâm shouting in my review title âNOTâ 8 ounce, why the five stars? Simple. The product and seller deserve five stars. But, you also deserve to know before you buy about the size discrepancy in case relative accuracy is important to you in selecting an item for your recipes and desired portions.Hereâs the full story:These are beautiful, good quality, nicely designed to be not too thin and cheap but not too heavy in weight, glazed well with a nice bright white (not cheap dull grayish white like some), packaged well to arrive without damage and with no manufacturing defects in the set I received. So, if the smaller size works for you, no need to read further, I highly recommend them. But, they are not 8 ounce. The one I measured by filling to overflowing then pouring the liquid into an accurate measuring cup measured 7.25 ounces. Thatâs filled to the brim. Anyone reading this that has a use such as me that involves putting them in the oven would not want to fill to the brim, having it slosh over as you slide them onto a hot oven rack (even sitting on a pan full of water). That makes it effectively only a 7 oz. dish that will hold 6 ounces of my dessert portions from my recipes. On the other hand, anyone using them for ice cream or snacks wonât care or can certainly over-fill them with a rounded scoop of ice cream if they even care to measure at all when no recipe is involved.I wish I had noticed the other reviews that also gave four and five star reviews but mentioned this size problem only as an annoyance or disappointment. To me it was a deal-breaker and I had to (regretfully) return them. Thatâs why the CAPS in my title. So, to anyone needing correct sizing for recipe portions and the right amount of dishes going into your oven and your cupboard, buy a larger set. To anyone flexible on size and thinks Iâm being picky about an ounce or two difference, go ahead and buy these, theyâre beautiful. So, thatâs why the five stars. Because:1. For many people using these for dips or other things the ounce or two difference doesnât matter. And, if it doesnât matter then the beauty and quality deserve five stars.2. I donât blame the seller – with all the design, quality, packaging and care that seems to have been put into this product, I donât believe the size error is due to the seller intending to mislead us buyers. Itâs probably; A. a misunderstanding that sizing for these (like a coffee cup) shouldnât be to the brim overflowing and B. combined with a conversion error from ml to oz rounded up when it should have been rounded down.3. I donât blame Amazon -With all the things I wish Amazon would do to protect buyers from the poor quality, fraud and fake review issues on itâs site, having Amazon employees verify the size claims of items listed is not something I expect Amazon to be responsible for.I also empathize with both the seller and Amazon that if there is currently no easy way to allow this listing to be updated to 7 oz. without the seller losing all the well deserved ratings and reviews and starting over at zero, this problem will persist. But, if I knew for a fact that there was a way for them to update to 7 oz. and keep the ratings and reviews, but they didnât do it, then I would take away stars from my rating.I hope this helps, and if it does please click the âhelpfulâ button on this review. I get nothing (that I know of) if you do, but I hope it boosts it to the top for others to easily find, see and consider before buying.

Great Size and Shape
I originally bought these for a sushi night so my guests could have their little bowls of soy sauce. They worked perfectly for this as the sides are not too high so you can easily access the contents without a huge amount of “up and over” with the dishes. This also makes them really great for plating right next to foods on larger platter. The low walls mean people can easily access food around these dishes from all sides. When it comes to cooking and mise en place I love to use these dishes as either pinch bowls or even prep bowls for small items like ginger, garlic, or any other ingredient that is less than 4-5 oz. I have even used them as serving dishes when doing sides and condiments for Thai Curry night, beer bratwurst night, and all the taco nights.I also started using them for lots of personal meals as well. The size is perfect for me when eating things like: yogurt with breakfast, black refried beans with tacos, dipping sauces or condiments for burgers, fries, and other items. They are so versatile and because they are small, the cleanup is very easy too.I’d highly recommend these.

perfect for baked eggs in air fryer
I have an Instant vortex plus 6 qt air fryer. Four of these fit perfectly in that model air fryer. I’m switching over to baked eggs rather than fried eggs just because it’s a no-brainer–oil the ramekin with butter or cooking spray, crack a couple of eggs in there (these each easily hold two jumbo eggs), add whatever seasonings you want, and put in the air fryer and leave them alone. You’ll need to experiment to find the time/temp for the eggs to be cooked to your preference. These ramekins seem well made and substantial. Glad I got them.

inside dimensions much smaller than outside
I will be returning these as they don’t work with what i need them for. They look sturdy and of good quality and were packaged very well but I need something larger than this. The measurements shown clearly are for the outside of the product which I knew but didn’t realize how much smaller the interior would be. The interior of the ramekin is approximately 2 1/4 inches wide which is much smaller than what I need it to be. **Please make a notation of what the inside measurements are when writing these descriptions for the products being sold
