This makes perfect biscuits and cornbread! I donât like rolling out and cutting dough circles for biscuits, so I just put portions in this pan. Technically I guess theyâre scones, but they turned out great.

Love love love this cast iron
I wouldn’t toss “wet” dough in these but if you roll out your biscuits and cut with cutter they will be fine. If you do use a drop biscuit/wet dough they will stick and be a big mess. Maybe after a year or so cooking with it you could use the drop dough biscuit method. But until then stick with rolled out lightly floured biscuits and you’ll do fine. I am very happy with the pan. I like my biscuits to look even and round, their pretty for presentation that way.

At my first cooking, everything was stuck to pan. I didnât put enough crisco. The next time I put about a lump of crisco, about 1/4 teaspoon in each section. Then I set it on eye on stove to melt. Then I let it cool for about 4 days, then today I cooked delicious cornbread for lunch.
