Very nice looking and heats water perfectly!
This unit is perfect for us as it is easy to handle, looks great and does its job as intended! We looked at other top rated units, but some had the control in the handle which made it larger to grasp. This unit has a manageable handle and is lighter as the controls are in the base. Quickly heats a full tank of water. Upright style takes less counter space than our old kettle type.Hopefully it will continue to operate as well over the coming years?

Intuitive, beautifully designed and fast
Got this recently after my old kettle broke. For the price, this is a great kettle. It looks brilliant, but itâs got wide functionality and works very quickly.

Really really really liked it…..but
I looked at just about every single electric kettle and all their reviews. The general consensus with reviewers seemed to be the Cuisinart model with this a close second, their main reasoning being this was more expensive. I am willing to pay slightly more for real quality and my mother has had the same Breville kettle for over six years now and it is still perfect. Hers doesn’t have temp control, just straight forward boil. I wanted the variable temp feature for my tea habit and went with this one. Really like it. Looks super sharp, super easy to use, boiled quickly and all the different tea temperatures are accounted for. Two small qualms I have with it. The windows for water level aren’t lit. I know its minor but my mother’s has a light and I rather like the look of it. When it’s heating it’s lit, when it’s done it dings and the light goes off…a silly cosmetic feature with some practical use (you can see it across the room at night) but I like it. This one’s buttons light up which can also be seen. My main problem was with the lid. It has a slow opening lid which prevents steam or hot water hitting the user. Mine just never really sealed shut. It would clamp closed but stay open around the edges on one side as if warped. I highly doubt they are all like this which is why I still have five stars. Get one yourself, try it, but I had to return it and will try out the Cuisinart. Whenever that one dies I will go back to Breville and see what they have out then, they are a quality company.

Fine product.
It operates as advertised. Wirecutter rates it the best electric kettle. Seems worthy of the accolade.

The BEST Electric Kettle
This is my 2nd Breville electric kettle. I purchased my first one in 2018, but it finally started going kaput late last year (2023). I ordered a new one the last day of December, arriving the first week of January 2024. I started using the new Breville electric kettle this week and couldn’t be happier. I use the electric kettle to heat water for my morning herbal tea and my late afternoon and evening herbal tea. The kettle is quiet. It’s got this great feature of keeping water warm for up to 20-minutes, which is helpful. There are some who think that the price is too expensive. Well, I paid $129 in 2018 for this Breville electric kettle, and only $139 this time around. This is well below what regular inflation would have made the price. This is fantastic electric kettle, one that you won’t regret purchasing, especially if you’re able to use it for 6-years! Highly recommend.

Pretty nice teapot
After using a plastic teapot that only boiled water, I wanted something different. I drink mostly green and white tea; my wife drinks black tea. When I saw this pot in Williams-Sonoma with different temperature settings, it was worth the price to me to be able to select the type of tea I want so the correct temperature is automatic instead of having to time the heating so it doesn’t boil for green or white tea. Also, because it holds the temperature, I can start the water and take the dogs out and the water is the correct temperature when I return. The pot is quite solid and feels good – nice heft, but not too heavy. The lid seals up nicely – not much steam escapes to float up and dampen the cabinet overhead. On the other hand, when emptying the remaining water, the seal slows the drainage. Opening the top allows faster emptying. It’s not a problem, but points out how fine the engineering is.It’s easy to descale – just put some vinegar in and heat it a bit, slosh it around, dump it out and rinse a couple times. There is only ONE SMALL POINT that should be mentioned – the side of the pot is hot when the water is hot. The prior plastic pot was cool to the touch. The handle on this pot is cool and there is no radiated heat from the pot, but if you touch the side of the pot, it is hot – not enough to burn you but you will know you touched it. It’s good to know before you use it, but other than that, I really like it.

This is a nice kettle! Of course! It’s what you expect when you pay this much, right? You must really enjoy your hot water if you’re really considering this product. Well, I’m with you, because I like Breville products and I have made use of this kettle’s features. I think that’s the main point I’d tell you if you’re considering buying – make sure that the feature set makes sense for your application. I French press coffee on occasion, and my wife and I generally enjoy brewing various kinds of teas. Sometimes we also just like cooler hot water! So clicking a button and having it take care of it, is nice. This kettle is also one of the fastest I’ve used – must have a good motor. The one problem I have is that the base is constantly warm when it’s plugged in. Not sure if it’s just my unit – but I usually unplug it when not in use. Otherwise, I have used it daily to heat up water for my oatmeal and it works great. Two years now, and no issues. I paid quite a deal less for this compared to its current price – and even then had trouble justifying the spend – but again, if you can make use of the variable settings, it’s the kettle for you!

I have a lot of Breville products I use in my kitchen. This by far is one of my favorite daily used item. Easy to use and well made. I have recommended this item to a lot of my family members. They all have purchased it and enjoy it as well. Thank you BREVILLE!!!

I was really reticent about spending that much money on a kettle and it seriously took me a year of shopping and reading reviews before deciding to get a variable temperature kettle. Now I wish I could have one at work as well. I’m somewhat of a tea addict and boiling the water at the right temp really does make a difference. Yes, I’m a little concerned about the BPA in the window, but it’s nothing compared to the kettle I have to use at work, and I’m not quite ready to spend $200+ on a stovetop one.I sometimes find that boiling water takes longer than it should, but it’s still faster than boiling water in a pot using a thermometer. I thought there might be something wrong with it the first time I used it because it would stop boiling midway and then start again, stop, start….I’m still not used to it and I’ll admit it annoys me on mornings where I’m running late.I am not bothered by the noise it does when you first plug it in or when the water is ready. Yes, it’s a little loud, but comparing it to a backing truck is a little much. I can barely hear it when I’m in another room, and I do like being warned that it’s ready.I wish the “keep warm” option would stay on a little longer but it’s definitely not a deal breaker.
