Wonderful, everyday use!
I use this kettle every single day, and have been since I ordered it, for roughly 8 months. This appliance works perfectly as intended, and the automatic shutoff is very handy to someone like me who tends to forget when a pot is boiling. Once boiled, the water is insulated enough inside the pot to still be hot for up to a half hour afterwards.The only problem I’ve had is that once there is a calcium buildup, some areas are tough to reach and scrub, but otherwise a wonderful product and does not impact my opinion of it.

What a great appliance
I spent two weeks with my daughter who had an electric kettle, and fell in love with the convenience of it, as well as the speed with which her kettle produced boiling water–I do love my morning cappucino and evening tea.So I decided to buy one like hers, but her model isn’t available any more, and I found this one and purchased it primarily for the price, but also because I like how it looks.Got it this week, and it is sitting on my counter being used two, three, or four times a day. I LOVE it, and would recommend this particular brand and model to anyone who wants an electric kettle. It’s good looking and does exactly what I want it to do–boil water for my tea!Great product.

The Brentwood 2 – Liter Stainless Steel Tea Kettle Model KT-1800 is a handy appliance that will help you forget about a teapot for your stovetop. It occupies little space and gets the water boiling at a pretty good pace. That’s a key point, as it’s not as fast as I had hoped for, based on experience in China where hotels and most homes have blazing fast electric kettles. The Chinese models are not wired for use to USA standards (I don’t like to use convertors for active appliances) so I thought to try the Brentwood 2, as they are similar in size. Hmmm, only a B+ on speed compared to the overseas models but as good as we can get for this price on our shores! Since we do not have room in the kitchen or dining area for a samovar, the Brentwood 2 is a good value. 😉

Love This Kettle
the size saves me time boiling water to filter for drinking. I had a smaller Brentwood kettle for 9 years, so I would say it is a very well-made kettle.

Nice little kettle for the price.
Interior is completely stainless steel except for a small plastic strainer before the spout, and a rivet holding the handle on. The exterior is all stainless, except for the black plastic base, handle and lid. The black stripe in the picture is a reflection.Our household is worried about plastic/aluminum containers, especially when they come in contact with hot food/fluids. Boils in or around 5 minutes, which works fine for us. A nice, mostly stainless, functional kettle that works great for our purposes.

Excellent capacity, safe to use
I replaced a 1.7 liter Cuisinart kettle with this and I am very pleased. The larger capacity is great, allowing me to make two full pots of tea or coffee. The lid on the Cuisinart kettle was annoying, because it was hinged in the middle. After time the lid latch wore out and the lid would open while pouring, scalding my hand with hot steam. The lid on the Brentwood kettle is hinged at the back, and has sturdier latch, which I find to be much safer.

Bought this October 5, 2020 and after not heating well for a while it stopped working completely today! Up until we started having problems with it we loved this kettle. It only lasted 6 months so we wonât be buying another. Disappointed!
