Incredibly Sharp and Wellmade
This knife is extremely well made and with all the references to German steel, the name itself and also the label on the handle referring to Munchen – my assumption was it was made in Germany – in fact, once again, this is an import from China. Amazon really should taken pains to make it abundantly clear as to the country of origin on the front page of the product. One thing I should warn about is one of the pro points and that is the sharpness. I would image it would be fairly easy to take off, or at least do serious damage, to a finger. If you are cutting through a crusty load it would be possible for the blade to slip and so care should be taken. Overall it is an excellent knife and worth the price.A final point is that there is a blade covering. It is fine for the short term but it is made of card and will not last. I would have preferred a more robust sheath for the blade even if it was available at an extra cost and supplied separately.
